I've used wide mouth vacuum bottles for a long time to take to work for lunches. Most bottles are 16oz or less, but this one holds 20 ounces. It's great for soup or stew, oatmeal, etc.. The way I usually use these wide mouth vacuum bottles is to make instant soups, oatmeal, or top-ramen type noodles while at work.. I put hot water in from the water dispenser (we have one with HOT water) I just do this 5 or 10 minutes before a break or lunch. This bottle has plenty of room.

Bought this product a few weeks back and I am very happy with it . Now, hot lunches are great and they are really hot 10 hours later . My lunch menu now is almost anything I want to eat.Took left over mashed potatoes and put some on the bottom and added a little gravy ,then I topped it off with left over peas and carrots and cut up the left over roast beef added more gravy and more mashed potato,what a lunch that was. Left over lasagna is also great. Every working person who does not have access to a close by food outlet or wants to cut the budget needs this produce. My wife is so happy to see the left overs gone in the morning.Customer Review: saved us from yucky school lunches!

This terrific little "thermos" keeps food HOT from 7:30am when I prep it, until 12:30 when my children eat their lunch in school. My first grader marvels that sometimes his food is still so hot, he has to blow on hit before eating!
Tired of sandwiches and yogurt, they begged me to figure out a way for them to have a hot lunch.(don't ask about our school lunch program, yuck!) The Stanley Bolt Vacuum Food Jar has done the trick! Now, they can take heated leftovers from dinner the night before or soup heated that morning.
They are now the envy of all their lunch mates at school!

WOW! This food jar REALLY ROCKS!
The first time I used it I loaded it up with soup at 6:00am and when it was opened at 1:00pm for lunch it was steaming hot! The next day I loaded it up at 6:00am and wasn't able to stop for a lunch break. Didn't open the jar up until after 6:00pm when I got home. I was so amazed to find the soup was steaming hot 12 hours later! Sturdy construction made to last. The handle is comfortable and the design is great, no way this could roll around in the car. The best price I have seen for the Bolt is at Target for $17.99.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. He works for the railroad & is always out in the elements. He was complaining about taking sandwiches everyday for lunch, so I decided a thermos would be great for soups, stew & chili. He loves it. He says it fits perfect in his lunchbox and loves the rugged look & feel of it. He was surprised at how hot his food stayed until lunch time! Though 20 oz. is not as big as you may think, it holds plenty of food to keep him full, especially when you add a couple pieces of fruit or some rolls to his lunch.
