I own two Stanley 17 oz food jars and two Thermos 16 oz food jars. Both are good. The Stanley keeps my food a little bit warmer for a little bit longer, but the difference is negligible. The overall size of the Thermos is smaller (greater difference than the 1 oz capacity) and it has a nifty folding spoon built into the lid. You won't go wrong with either. The reason I'm posting this review is to tell everyone that I picked up a CANNING FUNNEL near the mason jars at the giant W for just over a dollar. It makes it much easier to get food like fried rice into the food jars. I found it to be very useful. Amazon sells really nice stainless steel canning funnels. Search for the term to see what it looks like. The giant W has a cheap plastic one (that happens to be Made in USA).
