i bought this for my son's tenth birthday. It was a big hit! I had friends install, which would had been easy, but we have large trees, and the wire that the company sends to install around the trees is about a large as a grown mans waist. So, we went and bought more rigging wire from a hardware store ,and made the half circles of wire much larger to fit around our large Georgia trees. My 5 year old has had a great time on it as well. We had a wooden platform built on one side, about a 5ftx5ft area around the large beginning tree. We also made a rope pully with a small handle and attached it to the handles of the zipline, which makes it easier for both my 10 and 5 year old to drag it back to the platform to go again. I would recommend. We have this mounted between a tree and our boat dock on about 150' of cable (I did not use the 70' piece that comes with it). I have 4 kids, ages 8, 10, 13, & 14. Whenever friends come over they are always playing on this, sliding out over the water to our boat dock. It has had countless hours of use and abuse for 2 years. I'm only replacing it to help guarantee its safety (not disintegrating enroute). It still works ok, but is getting a bit "ratty", and occasionally sticks on the cable because it is worn between the sides and the pulleys; giving room for the cable to "skip the track". Highly recommended, but be safe.Customer Review: zipping fun needs lots of setup

Attaching the cable is alot more work than explained in the directions. If there are not two trees spaced the needed distance, a very sturdy post and support must be built. The "drop" needed for a good ride is also more than the instructions called for. One end of our line had to be 15 feet off the ground with the other end at 5 feet in order to ride even 50 feet without "stalling out" in the middle. The end secured to a tree is slowly killing the tree since it had to be secured so tight.Customer Review: KIDS LOVE IT !!!

It was an easy enough install of all wire and hardare... it certainly is a requirement to have the right surroundings to make it work best ie. 70 feet of lawn space and a 15-20 foot drop over that distance.
TIP: I put a double loop around the trees the wire is attached to each end, and I put those wire loops inside a section of old garden hose to protect the bark layer on tree... like an insulator.

The kids are very happy with this. My kids, the neighbor kids and all the kids on our street.
I didn't have two trees to put this up between so I sank a 12' post on the low end. I had to add a tension line to the other side of the post to make it work (it was bowing in and causing the line to sink to too low). Works great now. I only wish I'd gotten the 90' version (we have the 70').
