Sports reviews of Sportline Walking Advantage Flashing Walking LightCustomer Review: Excellent Product! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I am very happy with this light. it is bright, has 2 different blinking modes and a constant stay lit all the time. The band is comfortable. It is a great little gadget for safely walking in the darkness.
Customer Review: Very bright and lightweight Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
This compact, feather-weight light works very well. It has three different flashing modes which are nice. I clip it to the front of my shirt collar and does just fine during my runs. Battery life seems to be quite good. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because you need a very small philips screwdriver to change the battery. I nearly stripped one the tiny screw heads trying to remove it. Otherwise, great little light! I certainly disagree with the person who gave this product 1 star.
Customer Review: Bright Lights... Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
These little LED lights are perfect for alerting folks to your presence while walking or jogging - it is a little difficult to remove the screw from the back so that you can get the battery working (that's why I gave it only 4 stars) Other than that, it works just as advertised.
Customer Review: You get what you pay for. Sport shop rating: 3 Stars
The good? It's bright, it's got three blinking modes, and it's still working.
Otherwise this thing feels like it should have come out of a vending machine or a swag-bag from a charity event for weight-loss. The clip is held to the body with a flimsy hollow aluminum pin that's just squashed at one end. Just to turn it on the first time you have to unfasten the smallest, tightest, most delicate screw not in a nuclear submarine. I felt like I had to be a safe cracker to properly judge the amount of force needed to open the screw yet not completely strip the head. Even the elastic arm band is bad, loosing about half of it's elasticity the first time you pull on it. If you're as out of shape as I am you're already tired out for the day and the thing isn't even out of the package yet!
But hey, it didn't cost much and it probably wont explode while running unless you're running like in that movie The Running Man. Maybe you'll feel better while buying this if you imagine a vending machine with about 35 coin slots.
Customer Review: Might work if battery compartment opened Sport shop rating: 1 Stars
I bought this for my wife a month ago and she has yet to use it. Why? Because they protected the battery from running down with some sort of strip that needs to be removed before the first use-- and that strip is inside the battery compartment, which is locked with a screw. A tiny screw. A tiny, incredibly tightly screwed in screw. A tiny (did I mention that yet) screw you won't have a screwdriver small enough to open. A tiny, easily strippable non-standard, tightly screwed screw that makes the product useless, unless, as another user wrote, you simply break the thing and hold it together with tape. So, apart from the bad design of the battery compartment, this could be just the thing we need. But as it is, we're just a tiny bit screw--ed. :-)
