I originally got this for my son who was 16 months old and it was too advanced for him. While waiting for him to grow into it, my 12 year old rode it around and broke it. We replaced it with another scooter that had hard plastic wheels and was cheaply made. We ended up purchasing this one again and throwing out the other one. The wheels are a sturdy hard rubber that should last through both my boys (providing my 12 year old doesn't try to ride it again). There was no wobble in either scooters we purchased and the back wheels fit snugly and rolled smoothly as long as all the spacers and washers were used. For those who aren't sure if it will work for them, the handlebars are 25" from the ground and 22" from the baseboard. The weight limit is 44 lbs.Customer Review: Great for sensory seeking child

My grandson received this scooter when he was 3 years old. He is has Autism and has high sensory needs. This scooter has been a god send. It gives him the outlet for his endless enery, but also provides his body with his sensory needs. It works his muscles and joints. We let him ride it in the house because the wheels do not mark up our wooden floors and when the weather is bad it helps expend his energy. It meets his autistic needs so great. He is just turned 4 but will use this until the scooter gives up! We all LOVE this scooter. He first saw it at his pre-school and the "Easter Bunny" brought it instead of a bunch of candy. My boys each got this scooter from Santa for Christmas. Over the past few months, they've both learned to ride it well and relatively speedily. They were 2.5 and a month shy of 4yo when they got the scooters. They're average size and the scooters were a good fit for both of them. The two wheels in the back gives it just enough balance for them. It has also held up extremely well over the past few months of 'abuse'. I will say it took my 2.5yo about a week to fully figure out how to ride it, but even now he gets around just fine. And its perfect for walks at the park. I wouldn't recommend this for a 5+ child, it would be too small and too easily grown out of but for the older 2's to 4 group its perfect.Customer Review: Extremely Sturdy

I purchased this scooter for my grandson when he was 2 1/2. It has been knocked over, hauled around in cars, rolled up and down hallways, pushed downstairs-- you name it-- my grandson is now almost 6 and still gets on it and rides up and down the hall until he goes so fast I have to make him stop( thank goodness for tile floors!)
Only thing that has happened is the spiderman placard came loose and I simply used a bread tie to reconnect. this was a good thing because my great nephew also has one and always fighting over whose it was and now we always know. His scooter has lasted just as well!!!

MY SON JUST RECIEVED THIS FOR HIS BIRTHDAY! THE LOOK ON HIS FACE WHEN HE SEEN IT WAS PRICELESS. HE WILL BE TURNING 3YRS OLD AND IT IS PERFECT FOR HIM. I THINK THE HEIGHT IS PERFECT FOR A 2-4 YR OLD. I DO NOT THINK THIS TOY IS FOR A 5 YR OLD. IT WAS VERY EASY TO PUT TOGETHER, MY HUSBAND THOUGHT HE MIGHT NEED THE POWER DRILL BUT NOPE WE WERE WRONG! I HAVE A 2 YR OLD ALSO AND HE WILL BE GETTING A SCOOTER AND I'M SERIOULY CONSIDERING THE EXACT SAMEONE. YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY WITH THIS SCOOTER. IT IS PERFECT FOR MY LITTLE GUY.
