I had owned the original Speedo Vanquisher (the dark blue ones) and thought it was a great pair of goggles. Fit was fabulous and seal was terrific. The one major shortcoming was the severe tunnel vision. There was no peripheral vision at all which made the backstroke an adventure. With the original Vanquisher, I would use them for all my strokes except the backstroke. For the backstroke, I would go without the goggles. And since I alternate my strokes between laps, it would become annoying very quickly to have to put on and then take off the goggles. Then it was stolen from me when I was in the bathroom.
So I then got these Vanquisher 2.0 goggles (the smoke color) and they're also fabulous, but now there actually is some peripheral vision! It could still be better in the peripheral vision aspect since the view is small and a little distorted. But if you're used to the original Vanquisher, you'll feel immensely better with these.
They still have the same fit and seal. Adjustments are very easy and there are multiple nose pieces for all face frames. If I was a Vanquisher original owner, I'd still get the 2.0 ones and use the original version as a backup.

This is a great update to one of Speedo's most popular goggles. The one weakness to the original Vanquisher has been its limited peripheral vision, so the new 2.0 has improved this by 25% without changing the overall design and fit. It has the same soft silicone seals and a new two color double headstrap with ergonomic adjustable clip to insure a snug watertight fit.
