Customer Review: Indoor/outdoor fun

Received it today. Set up was a breeze. My 5-year old daughter was helping. Note that assembly directions are on the outside of the box, so don't toss the box before you set it up. Took us about 10-12 minutes to get it up and hang the net. Comes with a ball, but you'll need to add some air to it. The ball did have some air in it and you could play with it right away if you didn't have a pump on hand. Fine for indoors, but outside it wouldn't have much bounce to it without additional air. The design is fairly stable as is without adding any water or sand to the base which is surprising given how lightweight the whole thing is. Will still probably add a little sand to it. The rim screws into the backboard with three plastic bolts and nuts. Seems like it would be a good serviceable toy up to about age 6. Our 2 1/2 year old can make a few overhead shots at the lowest setting and had a LOT of fun with it. Our 7-year old (49" tall) can drop the ball in at the highest setting without raising her arms very much above her shoulders. The real nice thing about this design where the basket leans forward over the base is many shots land on flat ground rather than dropping through the net and hitting the base and flying off in different directions.
