Sports reviews of Smooth 5.25 Folding TreadmillCustomer Review: Not Built to Last Sport shop rating: 3 StarsI have owned a Smooth 5.0 for about 4 years. Even though the motor is warranted for life, it isn't the motor that goes out and renders the treadmill useless - it is the console. When it went out the first time, the TM was under warrantee and the company sent someone to fix it. The second time they sent me the part and only charged me about [...]. After 4 years they no longer carry the part for this model, so they referred me to [...'. Treadmill Dr. also did not have the part and they recommended a generic part, but the cost was [...]!!! I didn't pay almost [..]to have to put this kind of money into it every few years. I junked the Smooth treadmill and bought a used Proform. Time will tell with that, but a least I didn't put out that much money!

Six Preset Programs: - P1 Quick Start/Manual Program: Alter the speed or incline of your preference at any time during the workout for a customizable routine
- P2 Interval Incline: The user must first set the workout load from levels 1 to 12 and the desired workout time. Once the workout begins, the speed will start from 2 miles per hour and the time counts down from the set workout time. The incline will follow the preset incline levels in the program, but the user is able to override the incline level any time during the workout. After the workout time reaches 0, the treadmill goes into a one minute cool-down mode.

The speed will follow preset speed levels in the program. The user is able to override the speed any time during the workout. After the workout time reaches 0, the treadmill goes into a one-minute cool-down mode.

- P5 5K Self Learning / Competition: Ideal for long distance users, the distance level is set for 3 miles while the speed and incline follow preset levels in the program. The user is able to override both the speed and incline levels anytime during the workout. After the distance counts down to 0, the treadmill goes into a cool-down mode.
- P6 Heart Rate Control: This program is set up to keep the user's pulse between 65% and 85% of the maximum heart rate for an efficient workout. It begins with a 3-minute warm-up to get your pulse to reach 65% of your maximum heart rate. Manufacturer's Warranty Frame - lifetime, motor - lifetime, parts - 3 years, labor - 1 year About Treadmills Walking is still considered one of the most beneficial cardiovascular exercises for people of all ages, body types, and fitness levels. As a fundamental form of aerobic training, walking has numerous physical benefits for the heart, lungs, and circulatory system, while also increasing muscle tone and burning fat calories. Treadmills provide a convenient way to regularly exercise in all weather conditions in the comfort and safety of your own home. From beginners just starting an exercise regimen to advanced athletes looking to maintain their fitness level, anyone interested in getting and staying in shape can benefit greatly from regular use of a treadmill. Treadmills allow you to determine the pace, distance, and complexity of the workout based on your needs, all while watching television, talking on the telephone, or reading a magazine. Much easier on sensitive joints like the knees and hips, treadmill walking and running surfaces are typically long, padded platforms that allow ample room for a long stride and comfortable, low-impact walk or jog without the harsh contact of a concrete surface. While many different types, styles, and price ranges of treadmills exist, many of them offer unique features like a fold-up design for easy storage, an electronic display monitor showing speed, distance, workout time, incline level, and burned calories, and EKG grip pulses to monitor the heart rate while exercising. Regardless of the simple to complex features you may choose, treadmills offer an array of aerobic exercise opportunities that will provide long-lasting beneficial cardiovascular results without a commute to the gym or a jog in the rain.
