This flashlight is VERY sturdy. Metal construction with a Manufacturer name you can depend on. It's just what you need if you don't have a good flashlight. 3 AAA batteries fit into a cartidge that fits snugly into the handle. Rubber buttons & rubber o-ring that seals the cap. I got this flashlight mostly for night time use since I'm with a paranormal research group. Having the white and red lights are great for any situation that you're in. The red is very useful for when your using night vision. When you turn your flashlight on it doesn't blind everyone in the room. The first flashlight received had a defective switch for the white light. Amazon does the return and exchange gig better than any other web merchant. The new flashlight works great. I use it almost daily in my maintenance job. The holder works well and overall this flashlight is a pretty good value. I bought this to replace the 2 D Cell mag light flashlight that I keep bedside. This light is nice and bright, plus much more compact than my old mag light. The red lights are much brighter than I expected, and you can easily navigate your house or a hiking trail with the red lights. This is not as bright as sone, but it is a sturdy, brilliantly designed flashlight. Three things I love for duty care: 1) the size is perfect-not too wee, but not huge either; 2) on/off function makes it simple to use-no fumbling around; 3) the carrying case is great, especially with a nylon duty belt (but also works with leather). Great buy for the price!
