This flashlight is both well-built and performs as expected. My biggest complaint: I wish you could focus the beam (you can't). You can only do that in LED flashlights costing a lot more.
My only other criticism: if you're not careful, putting the flashlight into its holster can turn the flashlight on - even though you want it off when carrying it. In other words, I wish the carry case was designed as nicely as the flashlight itself.
But for the money, this is a great deal.

Great flashlight. I'm pretty hard on my stuff and this thing is solid. I do some star gazing so the red light is very helpful. The red light is fairly bright so I won't use it for reading star maps, only setting up and stuff. The only mild complaint is that both buttons are in the same vacinity on the light and are basically the same size. So in quick haste to turn it on, you could accidentally hit the wrong button. I think I'll get used to the position of both eventually, but not at first.Customer Review: This is impressive

This is a flashlight to impress your friends! The look and feel just scream "quality" and "expensive". It's larger than I expected, I wanted one to keep in my jacket pocket and it's a little too large for that. I like the carrying case and the little pocket to store extra batteries. If I were an outdoor worker, this would be my flashlight of choice. On a practical basis, the red led feature gives off a good light without the blindness-causing beam of the ultra bright white ones.Customer Review: One of the Best Lights

I love this light, As a Student Pilot I needed a quality red light for night training and this is perfect! Its extremely solid and works well. The Red light is the brightest red I have seen and the white light while not the brightest is still brighter than lights use to be.
I cant see how this light will ever tear up or wear out, except for maybe battery corrosion, in which case I would gladly purchase another Galaxy 13.

I purchased this flashlight to send to my daughter who is stationed in Afghanistan. I asked her how she liked it? She said that it was a "bad a** flashight" and that she loves it. I will buy a couple more for my house and truck. I compared a lot of flashlights and this is by far the best deal especially if you need red light only mode without having to cycle through a bright white light mode to get to red mode. Thanks.
