My Son wanted to buy the PowerWing that his cousin had brought over. My son is 11, his cousin is 8. When I reviewed the powerwing, the weight and age seemed to be for smaller children, and he would only get maybe a year of use out of it according to specifications. As I was looking on the internet we saw this and he ordered, received right on time. He Loves It! He's flying all over the park! It can really pick up the speed. Does not do well in the street but does well on pathways and flat surfaces. Be sure to wear a helmet as my son has had a few good spills. Faster you go the harder the fall : )

Description of Slider The Unscooter U6 Three-Wheeled Action Scooter (6-Inch Wheels)

Slider The Unscooter is the new, unique way to scoot along sidewalks and streets. It's designed to propel you without your feet touching the ground via its three wheels thanks to its patented scissor-style Action Decks. It features dual handle brakes for optimal safety, pivoting 6-inch wheels for three-wheel steering for maximum maneuverability, and sturdy steel construction. This U6 model is designed for ages 8 and older, up to 250 pounds.

To get going, push both feet out on the Action Decks as far as you can and then pull them all the way in--the scissoring motion will start to propel you forward. You can also push each foot independently for rollerblading-style action, orplant both feet firmly on the Action Decks and shift your body in a skying motion--excellent for cross-training.
