I've always been interested in these devices, I work out regularly and I'm a fairly big guy but I injured my leg when I was hiking and it lead to me being a bit lazy.. ( dislocated knee caps hurt ) .. so I took a closer look, researched online.. nearly bought another unit that is much more expensive ( and probably far more powerful to be honest ) but this one is FDA approved so I decided it was the best introduction for me .. the reviews were positive and it had studies to back it up, so figured I couldn't lose.
When I first turned it on it started at power level 1 which I couldn't feel at all, so I learned the controls on my own because I was too anxious to read the book ..
I bumped the power up slowly, it was weird .. just tingles, but didn't feel like my muscles were contracting..so I bumped each arm up one at a time then suddenly .. CLENCH .. I used that as my starting point, I did 10 minutes at that level but didn't feel like I got a work out.. so I went another round.. bumped it up a few levels .. still didn't fill worked out.. suffice to say, i did 6 sessions and ended up at level 80 ... now after 6 sessions and ending on level 80 I can safely say my arms feel tired.. I definitely recommend doing it that way because you need to get used to the strange feeling of it .. it's like a strong vibration shooting through your arm, and at level 80 i felt it down the entire length of my arms and up into my shoulders.. so it's powerful for sure..
Considering the price on their official website for this SAME thing ( unit + controller ) is twice as much as their amazon price.. this is an EXTREMLY good buy .. pick it up .. be careful with the connections because they are not well done, but otherwise.. great unit .. and MUCH stronger than I figured it would be.
