We purchased this trainer from one of our players and were not sure what we were going to get but it has been an incredible hitting aid, used by our youth section (7-16 year olds) and by our adult team members and coaches (16-65 year olds!). It is very easy to use, you can use it on your own, it teaches you to have a level swing, you can hit 200 times and never have to go and retrieve a ball!! You can also tell when you connect for a good hit as opposed to hitting under or over the ball. We would definitely recommend this item and will be looking to purchase some more ourselves (assuming shipping to the UK is not too expensive!!)Customer Review: Great idea

The Derek Jeter Hurricane Batting Trainer is an excellent batting practice/training aid and has really been great to use. One of the great aspects of the product is that it is totally portable, very easy set up so you can take it to tournaments, practice fields and games. It has adjustable swing speeds and convenient for the team to use. We have been wanting one of these for our baseball team but really could not pay what other vendors were asking. To find this at Amazon.com at such an affordable price was awesome. Amazon.com has great shipping which is fast, inexpensive, and reliable.Customer Review: A quality product......

I'm a senior adult (68), and I purchased this as a flexibility exerciser. I played baseball in my younger years, and knew I would use this if it really "tested" me. It does. It's heavy duty equipment, easily assembled, and works like a charm. It has three bungee bands for the really heavy hitters, but I just use two in order to make the ball arm rotate faster, thereby letting me hit when the ball is moving more quickly. This is being marketed to young folks, but I think it is useful for all ages. Thirty swings is a workout for me, but it's all fun.Customer Review: Excellent Batting Trainer

We bought this trainer for our 11 year old son for Christmas and are already seeing a wonderful improvement in his swing. If he hits with anything other than a nice smooth swing, the "arm" bounces and it is impossible to hit again without stopping, but if he hits with a smooth stroke, he can just keep hitting over and over again. This is great because he can do it alone in the yard or we take it to the field and set it up over home plate for warm up before batting practice. This product is an excellent way to increase your eye hand coordination and improve your swing. My eight year old son and I use the hurricane all the time, out in the yard, and in the garage. We have not experienced any trouble what so ever with the lowest height setting. This product is very durable, sturdy, and well made. It is a great way to spend time with you little leaguer or improve your own swing and have fun. We love it, and recommend it to everyone.
