I purchased one of the Sigg bottles online at Amazon.com several months ago. I immediately fell in love with it and threw away all my Nalgene and other plastic bottles/cups.
The water tastes like just like water (quality in - quality out, be sure to use properly purified water - I use Nikken filters),and the coating imparts no taste whatsoever. I even left the bottle at work over the weekend when I forgot it and left it on my desk, and the water still tasted fresh the next Monday. I loved it so much that I bought one for every member of my family, and they love them too. I did taste tests, and now I can't stand to drink water out of plastic bottles - it makes that much of a difference!
Now I'm looking for a 1.5L bottle in a funky pattern (can't find any that I like yet in terms of color/pattern) because I'm drinking more water every day.
I highly recommend this product. What a wonderful purchase and worth every penny. I'm going to give them as Christmas presents to friends this year too. Works great to clip to a backpack with a caribeaner (or I sometimes just slip mine in my purse - it does NOT leak). Lightweight, easy to clean (buy the brushes), highly recommend this product!

The Sigg water bottle, 1.0L is fantastic. First opening the product, it smelled like it just came out of the factory, so it needed some thorough washing on the inside before usage (as instructed). I used the Sigg washer which worked perfectly as well, I highly recommend it as a complementary item.
As for function, the water bottle is highly durable, lightweight, and great at keeping your drink surprisingly cold for a while. It has awesome capacity, perfect for going hiking and being outdoors. However, if you plan on carrying it around with you all day at work or school, I suggest going with a smaller size -- the 1.0L is slightly big for those uses.
If you drink a lot of water (which you should), or if you don't have too many opportunities to refill this, it is a great size to have.
This water bottle has a protective lining so still water doesn't wind up tasting like aluminum or plastic (like some other products will do). I do recommend getting a Brita pitcher to purify tap water. Sometimes tap water is a little odd tasting.

The 1.0 liter SIGG Lifestyle Water Bottle was everything I expected. My SIGG is both sturdy and lightweight, as promised in the product description. It endures everyday travel very well; I bring it to school and work with no issues. All of this is and they are safe too! As described, "A ground-breaking interior lining is 100% effective against leaching..." so your drinks stay free of harmful chemicals. Also, there are no funny tastes associated with it. Water tastes like water. Most of all, there are numerous unique and beautiful designs to choose from.

Overall, this water bottle is great if you want to spend at least $20 and like unique, beautiful designs. It is a very good water bottle, but there are many worthwhile alternatives. For example, if you want a cheaper, yet still safe water bottle, Camelbak offers 1.0 liter water bottles for $15 or less.

I drink water constantly but have a strange aversion to using normal cups and glasses. I've been in the bad habit at home of refilling bottles from bottled water and decided a a SIGG bottle would be a better alternative. My girlfriend has a Kleen Kanteen and I don't like the metallic taste of the water, plus the design of the lip just doesn't work for me and I spill all over myself when I try to take a drink. The SIGG bottle has neither of these problems, and I find the design much more appealing (I got the Code Red design). The mouth of the bottle is small and the lip flares out slightly. I was planning on getting a sport cap for it, but for now I'm happy without one. I just got it today, so I can't comment on how it stands up to wear.Customer Review: Price Gouging from Amazon!!!!!!

WATCH OUT!!! Amazon has the audacity to sell this bottle for $89, when all liter bottles by Sigg sell for $20. There is a huge shortage of these bottles right now, the manufacturer in Switzerland is reconfiguring their factory to accommodate the huge increase in demand for safe drinking bottles. If you google it you can still find these bottles for the $20 they were intended to sell for.....not this obscenity of $89. I watched the price increase at Amazon from $20 to over $40, then to $50 and now $89!!!! Wow!!!! Google it instead, or wait for the factory to catch up.
