The item that we selected through Amazon was a different set of cards. We received the Sicilian set when we ordered a generic set. This makes playing Scopa more difficult. The seller did not provide any package tracking information, and when received the card box was damaged.
I contacted the seller regarding shipping and was provided a curt response.
I would not recommend this seller to anyone.

Modiano is one of the Best Cards manufacturer in the world, They Have an Incredible Collection of Italian Regional Cards. The total number of Italian regional patterns is "officially" 16; a few others became extinct, or are made for areas outside the country. Naples Style Cards are with "Spanish-Like Suits" Coins-Cups-Swords-Battons. Central and southern Italian suits are very similar to the ones used in Spain, having been imported from the latter country during the 18th and 19th centuries, when southern Italy was under a Spanish rule, and the lands ruled by papacy (central Italy) had close cultural and religious relations with the same country. The Sicilian pattern shows relations with the Napoletane; as the latter, it was probably born in the 19th century (clothes and hair style account for this dating), and many cards have pips arranged in a similar way. Also the size of the deck is similar, smaller than the average. These ones, though, look even more naive; they often feature small decorative figurines to fill the blank spaces, while suit signs are rather simple. The pattern is not confined within the Sicilian island's boundaries: in some southern regions of Italy, many players prefer them to the Napoletane. The number of cards in each deck is 40, each suit has 1 to 7, and the three courts (a knave, a cavalier or horseman (which is locally known as "horse"), and a king).
