Sports reviews of Schwinn Pillow Top Cruiser Bicycle Seat

Customer Review: Excellent Replacement Seat
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

My wife and I both have the same bikes, with very similar setups. We both needed replacement saddles around the same time, so I did my homework and purchased two of these Schwinn Pillow Top saddles. What a difference! No more sore rear end! Don't be fooled by the "pillow top" desciption - it's just marketing. It's not "soft" like a pillow. The seat is firm, but comfortable enough for long rides, with a stable frame and well matched springs. The split down the middle of the seat is functionally effective without making the seat feel odd. It doesn't feel like there is a major section of the seat cut out. Also, it's not really a big, wide, oversized seat like a lot of the "cruiser" marketed seats. In other words, it doesn't look out of place or dorky on our hybrid street/trail bikes. I would definitely recommend buying this replacement model from Schwinn.

Customer Review: Great Cushy Bike Seat
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I had no idea when I ordered this bike seat to replace the old, uncomfortable, and dry-rotted one on my hybrid trail/street bike that the mounting system was different from the way my original bike seat was mounted. This seat comes with mounting hardware that would allow it to slide onto the rod that supports a bike seat. But my original seat was mounted with a clamp on the seat's underside frame, and the clamped portion couldn't be removed from the original mounting rod. Luckily, even though the frame on this new seat is a bit wider spaced than that on my original seat, I was able to remove the mounting hardware it came with, squeeze the underside frame together a bit, and mount it using the seat clamp on my bike. Works like a charm, and it's really comfortable for those with wider "seats".

Customer Review: +20 miles and no butt pain.
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

Bought a nicer Walmart mountain bike for $150, I'm new to the sport. My minimal size low-fat butt hurt, particularly the inner cheeks after about 5 miles. Got this seat and I'm going about 25 to 30 miles now. My butt barely feels it and in contrast my legs are sore which is the goal. So while this seat isn't a lazyboy in front of the TV, I'm saying 5 stars because it looks good, feels 1000% better than the stock seat, and is one of the more reasonable priced.
***Oh I want to note that you can adjust the tilt, as well as the horizontal position (about 3 inches closer or further from the handle bars depending if you have longer or shorter arms). It does not come with seat pole, use your existing one.

Customer Review: Not too squishy, but effective
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

As others have mentioned, this seat is not exceptionally cushy. It's about the equivalent smooshiness to the leathery seats on most new economy cars. But that really isn't the point. This seat does an excellent job of distributing your weight on your more expendable areas. My backside does get sore after a couple hours of riding, but it's bearable and certainly superior to the stock seats on most mountain bikes. And most importantly, the "sensitive area" irritation is absolutely eliminated. The feeling of sitting on this seat is a little different because the seat is so wide, but it doesn't impede pedaling.

Customer Review: Great value and comfort
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I bought this to replace the stock seat on a Citizen folding bike. The seat that comes with those things isn't much more than a padded wooden banana.

With respect to another reviewer, I don't think ANY bicycle seat is as comfortable as sitting in a chair at home, but for the price, this is a great value. The padding is in the right place, wide enough to support the average bike rider, and I had no trouble snugging it to the post.

If you get a folding bike, or any inexpensive store-brand bike for that matter I'd automatically order this as a replacement on the same day.
