I was leery of this because of price, but the others who said it was fine made me try. Thankfully if you read the others here who warn you about the instructions, and show some great pictures, this works fine. You do need to read the instructions. It took a little while to get the sensor right, this is where the pictures helped a lot. I got it working, tried it out in front of the house and it said I was only going 15mph. I thought I must have entered the wheel size wrong, so I took the GPS unit out of the wife's car. It showed the same speeds exactly, so there is nothing wrong with the unit, I am just not going as fast as I thought I was.Customer Review: So far, so good.

I almost didn't buy this computer, based on other reviews I saw here. After I installed it and took the bike for a brief spin out the driveway and back, sure enough, the computer would not reset. Yes, I read the directions. Yes, I read the helpful (though sometimes snarky) comments from this site about how to reset the computer -- it just wasn't happening. However, once I went out for a real ride (14 miles), it reset fine and has been doing so ever since. For $10, I can find nothing to complain about. It's got several functions that are kind of silly, and certainly not useful, but again, for $10, I'm happy.Customer Review: A definite recommend

Found the product to do exactly what it was supposed to. Installation was a breeze - took a little over 10 minutes. A suggestion, before you fix the components permanently, do a dry run and identify the final positions of the components. Once you have the positions pretty much defined then attach them permanently. A little tweaking might be needed but I found that a gap of 2mm or so is fine. Have been using it for over a month and have had no problems. The display is accurate and works well and I haven't had to make any adjustments since installation. This is a great product for the price.Customer Review: Great Bike Computer

Don't be put off by the price. It's accurate, reliable and durable. I've had two of the 12-function Schwinn computers for around a year, needed another and this one was a few dollars cheaper ($10). It's almost the same except that the 17-function has temperature, and a couple of other features you probably won't use. They all still work.
As with any of these, the key is to set the tire size correctly and learn how to work the buttons. I simply use the left one to toggle the trip time and distance displays, and to reset the trip, and seldom need to fidget with anything else.

This is a great basic computer. It installs easily. It is important to note that the magnet must pass the area on the pickup that is specified by two arrows. The pickup area is actually on the side of the pickup, not the end. Be sure to read the instructions carefully before you install. Should you have any questions about the computer there is a customer service contact number for the company that distributes it. I called them with a question and got to talk to someone who was very helpful. At this price, you would be hard pressed to find a better bicycle computer.
