I've owned this Schwinn 17 function and the Bell 15 function speedometer. The Bell was wireless which was great, but on occasion it would not register correctly but only briefly (like a few seconds) then return to correct readings. The Schwinn is almost identical to the bell but is wired, so far no problems. This unit was easy to set up and install. put the magnet on two spokes toward the center of the wheel and the sensor as close as you can get it to the magnet like the instructions say. Not hard at all. The set up was the most difficult, but still easy enough. Make sure you change Kilometers to Miles if you want your speed to show in miles per hour (mph) otherwise it will be in kph. Look at the wheel factor chart to get the correct number to input for correct speed calculations.Customer Review: BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK!

Schwinn 17-Function Bike Computer
This is definitely the best computer for the money. More functions then one needs but nice to have. The most important thing to do is MAKE SURE YOU SET THE PICKUP AT THE PRECISE DISTANCE FROM THE MAGNET. If not it WILL NOT work properly. You will also need to spend some time on figuring out how to set the functions. But when you figure them out you will find how easy they are to set. Don't get frustrated trying to set the functions READ the instructions and follow them. Its not that difficult. I have went over 200 miles using this computer and it stays on the mark.YOU WON'T FIND A BETTER DEAL FOR THE PRICE!!!!!!

- It's difficult to knock this product, I would say the only thing that I would have liked is black zip ties (I will replace the white ones that came with it.
If you read the instructions you can't go wrong, I have only had this computer for a few days, I have taken it on two 10 mile rides (not long cause I am just getting back into bicycling. One note, you will probably find yourself watching the cyclometer a lot, I have to remember to keep my eyes ahead as I ride.
Summary - Buy this Schwinn product, I highly recommend it !

1/2 the price of local stores. works great. I like that I can check the time so I can determine if I need to pedal faster so I'm not late.... Then, as I pedal faster I can see how fast I'm going while I contemplate how I wish I would have left earlier so I could enjoy the ride more. If I wanted to, I could also figure out the fat I'm losing by the calories, I suppose, but I've never been one to count them... too many better things to be concerned with. I say, just look at your gut to see u if u already used the fuel you ate yesterday or not. I used this computer for 2 years now & have had no problems. My only complaint is the supposed "backlight"... it gives only a flash of light rather than a steady light. You simply can't beat this bike computer for the price.
I was looking at computers in the $200 range, and then decided it couldn't hurt to try this cheapie and see if it works. (Worst case: I'm only out a few bucks, and end up spending $200 anyway in a month or two.)
However, after the install, it has worked well. Without a doubt, it's worth the price... and it makes me wonder what the profit margin is on those other deluxe brands!
It's not terribly intuitive, is difficult to work on the road -- I just keep the scan mode on and hope my eye catches the data I'm looking for -- and has limited display options.
Nevertheless, it works. And it's crazy inexpensive.
If/when this one fails, I would buy a new one.
