I am new to the world of pilates, so I decided to invest in my own mat instead of using those supplied by the gym (yuck!). I must say that while the others were slip sliding away, I was able to keep my positions securely. The smell that other mats give off was barely noticeable from my mat when brand new. The colors are gorgeous! The length is perfect - no need to reposition yourself after each move. The mesh bag makes traveling a breeze and the mat's thickness saves you from the hard floor. What a great investment! My 5 year old daughter wants one in blue!
