This is a very well designed knife. Counter-balance of the hilt to the blade seems excellent. Ontario's 1095 steel holds an edge well and yet is relatively easy to sharpen. Texas carry law limits you to a 5.5" blade, so this 5" blade is about the maximum blade length you can legally carry. I use mine for skinning game and fish to opening cans and as a general purpose hiking/carry knife. Its thick enough that you probably will never break it, yet thinner than some other blades. The top one third of the blade could be sharpened. A perfect design for this size of knife.
