Description of SKLZ Rick Smith Launch Pad - All Purpose Hitting Mat

Hitting Mat: Tee Fairway Rough. Practice all your shots in the right lies. The Launch Pad lets you hit off the tee, on the fairway, or out of the rough. Practice driving, iron shots, and short game.
Practice all your shots in a variety of lies with the SKLZ Rick Smith Launch Pad all-purpose hitting mat. The mat offers several hitting surfaces: a trio of tees for hitting with oversized drivers, fairway woods, or irons, a fairway surface that simulates the feel of short grass, and a rough surface that mimics the conditions of swinging through a tough lie.

The Launch Pad offers 3 tees for drivers, woods, and irons.

Includes rough surface for practicing a tough lie.
As a result, you can practice your drives, iron shots, and short game just about anywhere, provided you have enough room to swing a club. The heavy-duty, non-slip rubber mat measures 1 by 2 feet, with a realistic grass surface that simulates a genuine golf course feel.

Sports reviews of SKLZ Rick Smith Launch Pad - All Purpose Hitting Mat

Customer Review: Not perfect but gets the job done
Sport shop rating: 3 Stars

I have gotten my money's worth from the launch pad, but have struggled occassionally with the pad moving when I brush or otherwise strike the pad during my swing. Tough to have both portability and stability in a product like this. I priced several similar products, and this by far was the greatest value.

Customer Review: Interesting but too small for regular practice
Sport shop rating: 3 Stars

I give it a 3 star rating just because the mat is so small that is not very forgiving if you're just trying to warm up. On the other side if you're good enough that you can practice with this without missing a shot then you don't really need it.. :)

Customer Review: Practice hitting mat.
Sport shop rating: 3 Stars

The mat arrived in excellent condition. I appreciated the two practice tees of differing length. Unfortunately, hitting balls off of the mat surface leaves a green residue on the clubs that takes some scrubbing to remove.

Customer Review: Not durable...
Sport shop rating: 2 Stars

I purchased the Launch Pad last week and the first time I took it out to use it the grass, from the impact of the club, alread began to seperate. The grass mats are only very lightly gluded to the rubber mat and should have been threaded into the mat to make it more durable. I did like the two levels of turf to hit from but the mat is poorly made.

Customer Review: Junky & too small
Sport shop rating: 2 Stars

This launch pad is a piece of junk. As other reviewers have stated, the grass separates from the plastic base. Also, the grass pad itself is too small by 50% in my opinion. There are much better options out there. Spend a bit more and get a pad that will last more than a month.
