I've been using a bottle top that comes with my .5 litter Sigg water bottle for a month and it's been working perfect especially with ice water.
I play tennis occasionally and I bring my water bottle filled with ice cubes when I go to a tennis court. I just leave the bottle on a bench while I play tennis. Some ice cubes melt by the time I get thirsty (in an hour or so) and I can have really cold water. A good thing about this lid is that you can drink ice water and remaining ice cubes stay inside the bottle. If you use a regular bottle lid, then some ice cubes flow into your mouth with ice water, which is not really pleasant.
Some of the reviewers seem to be struggling with this unique design. It did take me some time to get it to work but once you get used to it, you won't even remember you had difficulty with it. I press and hold the white top with my forefinger instead of my lips (as suggested by Sigg). I just find it easier. Well, everybody has their things.
Some reviewers mention that the dust cover is extremely fragile. It may be. I dropped it on a carpeted floor once but there was no damage to the dust cover. I guess you just have to be careful. The dust cover cap that covers the mouthpiece is the only portion of the Active Bottle Top that has color options.
