This light is really awesome! Super bright(don't look right at it, it is blindingly bright!) and it is really cool that it comes with a carabiner to hang it off the little loop at the top of our tent!
The magnets are also a great idea and work great to hold the light to one of the metal poles on the canopy we use to cover the picnic table.
The people who rated this low because theirs started smoking, etc must have gotten defective ones because ours is perfect! As soon as I got the light, I put 3 AA batteries in it an turned it on and left it on on our kitchen counter for 3 hours to make sure it wouldn't start smoking.
I am going to buy another one so I can have one in the tent and one on our canopy.
The only thing I think is silly about this light is it has three light settings: Outer ring, inner ring and both rings. I don't see the difference between outer ring and inner ring, should have only had one ring or both rings, but it is no big deal.
AWESOME LIGHT, WHY DIDN'T I BUY THIS SOONER?????
