Sports reviews of Roadmaster Duo Deck 10-Inch TrikeCustomer Review: Love the tricycle. Wheels do smell though. Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
I bought this tricycle for my niece's 2nd birthday. I wanted to buy her the classic Radio Flyer but after reading the reviews about its questionable safety I decided to try the Roadmaster. I love it and so does my niece! It is a bit too big for her at the moment but she loves being pushed on it in the meantime. It has the look of the Radio Flyer but seems to avoid the safety issues that other people were concerned about. However, I will agree that the tires smell pretty potent for the first few days. Otherwise, no complaints. (And even I could put it together which means pretty much anyone can!)
Customer Review: Nice little bike Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
I bought this bike for my 2 yr old b-day. And it's a nice bike, very well built and looks great. It has hard rubber wheels, something that is a plus cause you don't want to always be pumping the tires. Heck, I'm 40 and over 200 lbs and was able to ride it without crushing the wheels. But there's the issue. I can ride the thing but my 2 yr old legs are still too short. So, it's going to get put away till next year. But of course, that's also an advantage cause I can just recycle the gift. Hey it's a recession, got to save money somehow.
Customer Review: Smelly packaging Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
This trike ships from the manufacturer. The first trike shipped came in a box smelling strongly of rubber, was clearly a repackaged return (it was partially assembled) and was missing most of the parts required to assemble it. A replacement trike still smelled strongly of rubber but did have all the parts. Assembly was a challenge, the directions aren't very clear. My advice, have a mechanic or engineer put this sucker together outside where the fumes won't make you pass out.
Customer Review: I love this little trike Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
Sweet ride for our two year old. It was easy to put together and it's well made and sturdy. The price wasn't bad either, considering I had seen tricycles for over 60 bucks! I love the retro look of it too. (I had almost an identical one when I was a kid!) The only negative I can think of is that the wheels have a really strong chemical-like vapor/odor. It was so bad that I had make sure the the tricycle was outdoors at all times. Other than that small caveat, A+!
Customer Review: Love Amazon! Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
I looked all over for a good trike for my son (not the cheap kind that tip over). As a last resort, I checked the internet. I thought the shipping fees would be too much. But, I found just what I wanted for less, including shipping, than the cheapies. I love the all metal frame. It is slightly shorter than I thought it would be. I should have come here first and saved myself a ton of time!
