Description of Ripstik Mini DLX Board
Introducing the Ripstik Ripster DLX with all new Pro Style design. Features all new spinning aluminum torsion bar, lighter weight design, ABEC-7 bearings, raised riser pads for increased control and an increased angle kick tail and kick nose for increased pop -Best described as a cross between a skateboard and a snowboard, the Ripstik Mini DLX board is the perfect ride for kids looking for the next big thrill. The caster board is like nothing you've ever ridden on dry land, with two caster wheels attached to two concave decks that flex independently around a center aluminum torsion bar. A simple twist-and-pivot "carving" motion lets you turn or accelerate without pushing, just like when you're carving down the slopes. As an alternative, you can also execute 360-degree turns on a dime with a quick weight shift, or easily grind on curbs or rails using the torsion bar. The Mini DLX offers such additional features as 76mm urethane wheels with ABEC-7 bearings, riser pads, carbon fiber deck graphics, and inclined caster trucks. Designed for kids 8 years and older, the Ripstik Mini DLX supports up to 220 pounds and carries a limited six-month warranty.

We bought this for my son's 6th birthday. He is able to do his brother's regular sized Ripstik, but it is a little awkward for him. This mini is fast, smooth and made for smaller people. My 8 and 10 year olds have fun on it too.
I have to say it is worth paying for the name brand with this type of product. Others we have tried are just not as smooth a ride.

I bought this for my 7 year old daughter and it was a hit. She rides it on a course throughout the kitchen and dining room. The size makes it easy to maneuver with shorter legs. She uses the regular ripstik of her friends' outside and cannot make the sharp turns as she can on this item. If you have a shorter/younger child, this is a great choice.

got this for my 9yr old son and he loves it. the build quality is solid, the carbon fiber finish looks cool, and the smaller size is great for younger kids. i still can't ride one but he zips around and turns corners on a dime.Customer Review: My son loved it!!

I bought the DLX version for my 11y old son thinking it would be a step up from the basic version everyone else seems to have. Instead it seems harder to use (although more maneuverable) which frustrated my son to no end. He has used it a handful of times and not in months. Sometimes simpler is better!
