Description of Ripstik Caster BoardThe new Ripstick combines all the fun and excitement of surfing and snowboarding and puts it on wheels. Inspired by the classic shape and design of a skateboard, the Ripstick looks like something out of the future. Instead of the traditional four-wheel skateboard, this amazing board can make smooth, quick 360-degree turns on just two wheels. Just stand on the sturdy traction plates and subtle movements propel the Ripstick even up a hill! The front and rear flexible panels are controlled by a spring-oriented bar located on the top of the wheels. The rugged polyurethane wheels are 77mm/85A with ABEC-5 bearings. Separating the two traction plates is a padded rubber carrying handle. Measures 33.5" long x 10" wide. Weighs 8 lbs. Wear helmet and pads for safety. 90-day warranty. Best described as a cross between a skateboard and a snowboard, the Ripstik caster board is the perfect ride for kids looking for the next big thrill. The board is distinguished by its pivoting deck and 360-degree inclined caster trucks, which offer a snowboard-like carving ability. A simple weight transfer lets you turn or accelerate without pushing, just like when you're carving down the slopes.
The Ripstik's unique twisting motion moves you forward with out ever pushing off the ground. | The board offers such features as spiked traction pads, a kick tail and nose, and a concave deck design, which combine to improve your foot control--a must for tricks. And thanks to the 76mm polyurethane wheels and precision ABEC-5 bearing casters, skaters will enjoy a smooth ride on almost any type of pavement. Designed for children 8 years and up, the Ripstik's plastic end platforms and metal torsion beam support up to 220 pounds. Key Features: - Inclined caster trucks

Sports reviews of Ripstik Caster BoardCustomer Review: Great! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I just received my ripstick today and it's awesome! This product is for someone with great balance and patience. I learned how to ride this before i bought one so i was able to open it up and start riding! The only con was when it arrives the packaging was a bit loose and the ripstick box was dented on all of the corners. If you loose patience quickly i suggest you don't get the item since its a bit hard to master and will take time to learn how to use it.

I started out as a skate boder but when I saw my frend jhon going dawn the street with one I asked him to give me lesons. Its not somthing you will just 2 munits but when you get good at it still put on a hellmit because yesterday It almost saved my life.but now I can start going up hill. I think a beginer should start on a flat gradg or drivway. If you are not good the first time do not get strest out because in a 2 days if you practes you will be good.
Customer Review: It's better than a skateboard! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I got the the ripstik and it's awesome!First of all it's easy to master and it's easier to use than it looks. If you have some trouble to decide whether to get a skateboard or a ripstik ,choose the ripstik.Second of all, it's very quick and you don't have to jump to turn. You can even go uphill by doing a furious twist.I have fallen of it once or twice, but it's very easy and fun to ride. Thanks for reading this review! Customer Review: Bought for 9 year old Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
This is alot more fun than a skateboard. Since you move forward by twisting your hips there is less time spent with your foot off the board. After a couple of times trying, my 9 year old son and I were both able to stay on. Watching someone ride this board is fun. It has a fluid look to its motion once you get the hang of it. At first I was apprehensive at the cost, but now that I have tried it, I recommend buying a Ripstick
Customer Review: Difficult to master, but amazingly fun Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
Whereas some people have been saying this product stinks for them, my experiences say that this is only due to the rider, not the board. My nine year old daughter and twelve year old son spent two days learning how to ride, frustrated at the difficulty level, but on the third afternoon, they figured out how to make it pivot repeatedly, and they have been riding for a month now for almost an hour a day with smiles on their faces.
