Sports reviews of Ripstik Caster Board (Silver)Customer Review: Fun for all ages Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I bought this as a gift for my 31 year old husband, because my 28 year old brother got one! Aren't these just for teenagers?! I guess not, because every weekend the two of them get together and go down the street on these things for hours. Luckily, no injuries yet.
It's harder than a skateboard, but they seem to have picked up the basics pretty quickly (though both are athletic in general). Definitely watch the short (10 minute) instruction video that comes in the box, you will need it to know how to get on the ripstick, as that poses the greatest challenge for some! Have fun!
Customer Review: Best gift she's gotten in a long time Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
This board was recommended to me, and my child tried our her cousin's. Since she's gotten one, she has enjoyed mastering the riding and is now working on some tricks. It takes great coordination, so consider that carefully if getting it for a younger child. For my 10-year old, it has gotten her out of the house and really working on a skill level all her own. Make sure you have elbow pads, helmet, gloves and knee pads - especially when your child is just learning. It's also fun to watch - especially when she was at a party and was manouevering in and out of the tables and chairs.
Customer Review: My son loves it. Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
My son has a friend who has a ripstik board, so he practiced alot on it. When his birthday came, he wanted one too. He rides it all the time. It is cool to watch. My son doesn't even have to put his feet on the ground to make it go. He just balances back and forth. After I bought this, I did see a better price at Sears. I was shocked to see it at Sears. My son saw it and showed me. Silver is hard to find, so I bought it on Amazon as soon as I saw it.
Customer Review: my son loves this board Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
i got this for my son's 14th birthday at his request. within about 2 hours he was riding it up and down our street. the deal is, he HAS to wear his helmet, as it's more tricky than just a regular skateboard. he's wiped out a few times, but he's really pleased with it. all his buddies have come over and try and master it too.
if your kid is tenacious and enjoys learning new skills, they'll really have fun with this board.
Customer Review: Ripstik Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I bought this product for my ten-year old granddaughter and she loves it. The only thing is it's being represented as a Ripstik but it's really a mini-ripstik. I wrote to the people it came from and they said no, but that's what my granddaughter told me and I saw it for myself. The one I bought was much smaller.
But she loves it...
