Customer Review: Takes the edge off Iraq

I bought this after learning how to ride on my friend's. I had never heard of it before, since I spent most of 2007 here in Baghdad. Long story short, I spent a few hours getting the hang of it, and now I can ride proficiently enough to do wheelies and skids consistently. This Ripstik is the first (skate) I've ever learned to ride, and it is FAR easier than rollerskates or a skateboard, despite the physics. Maybe being a skilled sportbiker helped that. Easy to learn, good exercise, and as far as durability...well, mine has been stunted, thrashed, dropped, and ridden around an airport regularly...by SOLDIERS...in Iraq. The wheels will wear out somewhat quickly if you're aggressive, on the heavy side, or ride constantly. My first wheels lasted about 3 weeks before a noticeable increase in the resistance to turn and accelerate. Excellent product, and a lot of fun, for all ages!Customer Review: Loads of Fun

I got this a month ago after getting addicted to riding my friend's board. It's a lot of fun even after having it for a month and I use it on a regular basis as a transportation from my home to the gym. Sometimes I go to the gym just so I can get a chance to ride the board. The only downside to this board is that it does not ride well at all on uneven surfaces such as brick roads and cobblestone, for obvious reasons. Unfortunately, I live in Europe and cobblestone streets are everywhere. Other than that, this is one of my favorite purchases on Amazon.Customer Review: fun board

I got this for my son for Christmas, he had ridden one once before at a friends house. He caught on right away (but he is 13) I wouldn't suggest Dad getting on and ending up in the emergency room. It does seem dangerous but he is having a great time on it. I choose this board because it was suppose to come with 2 extra wheels which did not come with it. Haven't been able to resolve that issue yet. Have fun, be careful!Customer Review: Very challenging but fun

My 8 year old is really enjoying learning to ride this. He's short for his age so it is a bit of a challenge because he has to split his feet apart more than he would like. Be prepared to watch your kid take some hard falls so make sure they have the proper safety gear. He already skateboards fairly well and he managed to have some pretty long runs on this by his the second day of trying.Customer Review: Ripstick deal

We bought ten ripsticks for our school to use during Physical Education. The kids love them and they seem sturdy enough for heavy every day use. The price was awesome and allowed use to buy ten when we thought we could only afford seven. We recommend this product for those looking for "wave boards" or "ripsticks" at a great price for a good product.
