this is like a snowboard. I love it. I have fallen a couple of times and have scars to prove it but that is because i was fooling around. my only complaint is that the wheels wear out pretty fast and a replacement set is 12 bucks, which isn't really that expensive, but it adds up over time. i caution some people that it will take time for you to be able to ride the ripstick, but once you get it, its a feeling like no otherCustomer Review: very cool toy

I can't see this being a toy that will create an "extreme" sport, but it is very fun, looks very cool, and is unique. It doesn't take too long to learn - after a few days of 20 minutes each day, I was able to ride it up and down the slight slant in my court without jumping off. It is easy to jump off and I have never fallen down from using it, even during learning for the first time.Customer Review: Very Fun!!!!

This thing is really fun to ride. It's not that hard to learn really, I would recommend watching a couple of videos on how to ride it before you actually get it, I learned in about 10 minutes! I had never been on one before and I learned very quickly from the videos. Once you get good at it, you can take it to the park or something. We purchased the Red Ripstik Caster Board for our 11 year old grandson for Christmas. It arrived on time and in good condition. When our grandson opened it on Christmas, the response was "Awseome!".
