Description of RipStik "G" Caster Board (Black)

Carve out sick stunts and tricks with this extreme grind machine. The RipStik G Caster Board's inclined caster trucks and pivoting deck provide snowboard-like carving ability. A unique torsion-bar design allows acceleration and turning without pushing. The RipStik G deck is concave for increased foot control, and features traction plates, kick-tail, and kick nose. The torsion bar also acts as a rubber-padded handle for easy transport.

Features:

  • 76mm poly-urethane wheels and high-performance ABEC-5 bearings for a smooth ride
  • Includes free "How to Ride" DVD
  • Holds up to 220 pounds
  • No assembly required

Please note: Read and understand the enclosed owner's manual before riding. Safety equipment such as a helmet is recommended with the RipStik. Check local laws and regulations to see where and how you may use your RipStik.

Best described as a cross between a skateboard and a snowboard, the Ripstik caster board is distinguished by its pivoting deck and 360-degree inclined caster trucks, which offers a snowboard-like carving ability. The RipStik "G" features a spinning aircraft-grade aluminum "G" tube in the center for extreme grinding action. Like the original Ripstik, the "G" moves you forward with a simple weight transfer that lets you turn or accelerate without pushing--just like when you're carving down the slopes.

The aircraft-grade aluminum tube in the center is ready for extreme grinding.
The board offers such features as spiked traction pads, a kick tail and nose, and a concave deck design, which combine to improve your foot control--a must for tricks. And thanks to the 76mm polyurethane wheels and precision ABEC-5 bearing casters, skaters will enjoy a smooth ride on almost any type of pavement. Designed for children 8 years and up, the Ripstik's plastic end platforms and metal torsion beam support up to 220 pounds.

Sports reviews of RipStik "G" Caster Board (Black)

Customer Review: Fun toy
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

I've never been one for skateboarding, to casterboarding was something new to me. You never have to step off the board to accelerate (deceleration is another matter), and turning is as simple as leaning your body the right way. Going uphill is hard, but not impossible. The bearings tend to get sticky in mud and dirt, but that's expected. The board has issues going over large cracks in the sidewalk - the front wheel tends to drop into them, and not come back out (ie, the board stops short at the crack).

Customer Review: so much fun
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

I got one for my kids, it was not too hard to learn. I will get two more for other kids so they can ride at the same time.
