A unique torsion-bar design allows acceleration and turning without pushing. The RipStik G deck is concave for increased foot control, and features traction plates, kick-tail, and kick nose. The RipStik "G" features a spinning aircraft-grade aluminum "G" tube in the center for extreme grinding action. Like the original Ripstik, the "G" moves you forward with a simple weight transfer that lets you turn or accelerate without pushing--just like when you're carving down the slopes.

I purchased this one for my son for Christmas this year. It's hard buying things online, not knowing the quality of them, so I was pleased when it arrived. It was very heavy, solid, good weight and made of sturdy, quality material. My son is fifteen, going on sixteen, and he can be quite destructive, so good quality items are important for me.
It was very tight at first, so it took some time for him to break it in so it properly twisted at the center like it's supposed to, but a little breaking in and it worked like a charm.
Definitely recommended for pre-teens, teens and young adults who are into skateboarding. This brings skateboarding to a whole new level.

I bought a similar product before which has been and still performing very well, even after I drove over it twice with my car (accident!). This second purchase is a gift to a neighbor and he is overjoyed with its performance. They use it constantly and it stands up to their brutal treatment.
