I bought this for my 6 year old niece for Christmas of 2007 and she is still practicing. On christmas day she was able to go 25ft without assitance she is now (3/08) up to approximately 100ft. Make sure you have the knee & elbow pads. There will be lots of bruising, but alot of fun. She loves the ripstik and can't wait until it is warmer to keep practicing. I bought this for my husband for his 40th birthday. He started snowboarding this past winter and the ripstik is suppose to be similar movements to the snowboarding action. My husband was so thrilled and he said it is alot like the snowboarding and is a fun workout. He enjoys learning new things. This is a well made board and is a big hit with all the kids on our street too!Customer Review: fun and challenging!

This is an innovative toy. I bought it for my 14 year old nephew who is sort of hard to shop for and he loves it. Made well and much more difficult to master than you might think. My brother-in-law, who is very into surfing and skateboarding, even found it somewhat challenging. past the first week of falls and mishaps, i was able to get better at skating and soon i was using it as part of my regular work out. I use it in a way that it works out my abs,quads, calves and even glutes.
The Rip Stick has defenately proven to be a fun past time that can be enjoyed even improve your regular routine work out.

My son loves his new ripstik. He takes it with him everywhere he thinks he can use it at. At first I thought it would take some getting use too. But the first time he got on it;it was like he had done it before. My husband tries to get on it to but he needs practice. Overall my son is satisfied so I am too.
