Spiked traction pads and kick tail and raised nose with concave design for tricks and improved footing. I cannot comment on how the castor board works because my nephew dislocated his knee just before receiving the item but I ordered it to be sent to Australia and it was there in 5 days (I am in England) for just 16 dollars so fabulous service. Hope this helps.Customer Review: Ripstick Board

I recently purchased this for my son for Christmas. There was a "instructional DVD" with the board. That wasn't much help. It is very tricky to learn how to use, but with persistence he mastered how to turn and even to go faster on his own.Customer Review: It's a very good and cool toy, even for adult like me, i like it!

A very cool toy, works quite well on flat ground however it's hard on uphill, which it's a pity. Anyway, I like it very much.

Looks like a skateboard to me but much more expensive. Granddaughter seemed to love it though. That's the main thing to me.
