The Reebok Heartouch uses our patented strapless technology that allows the user to get accurate heart rate without having to wear the chest belt. This unit has a extra large display for easy viewing. Outfitted with several handy features, the watch is ideal for runners who don't want to deal with a cumbersome chest strap while working out. The watch delivers several accurate heart rate readings, including maximum, average, and minimum heart rates. As a result, it's easy to determine whether you're running at a steady pace or you need to pick up the intensity a bit. The watch also offers a 100-hour chronograph with 50 memory slots, so you can recall your average heart rate and split time for your last several workouts. And thanks to the four training zone sessions--each with an optional visual and double alarm--it's easy to design an effective workout regimen.
Other details include a scrolling dot matrix display with Reflec-trix technology; a quick-start mode that gets you going after entering your age and heart rate; a Softex transmitter belt with a user-replaceable battery; water-resistance to 30 meters; and all the standard watch functions, including 12- and 24-hour time modes showing hours, minutes, and seconds.
About Reebok
Reebok's United Kingdom-based ancestor company was founded for one of the best reasons possible: athletes wanted to run faster. So, in the 1890s, Joseph William Foster made some of the first known running shoes with spikes in them. By 1895, he was in business making shoes by hand for top runners; and before long his fledgling company, J.W. Foster and Sons, developed an international clientele of distinguished athletes. In 1958, two of the founder's grandsons started a companion company that came to be known as Reebok, named for an African gazelle.

I sent this heart rate monitor back to Amazon the very next day after receiving it...it was completely inaccurate (perhaps defective?), displaying a resting heart rate of 89. Why do I know that it's inaccurate?...because I'm on a pacemaker, my resting heart rate is set at 62. I did not try for a replacement, will look around for a strap-type heart rate monitor.Customer Review: Unsatisfied Customer

I received the Heart Rate Monitor Watch and wore it to the gym twice. The third time I went to use it within a week the watch stopped working and the screen is now blank.
