Customer Review: Not for extreme cold/flimsy

I used these snowshoes with K-2nd graders in PE, and by the end of the first day of use, almost all of these snowshoes had cracked/ripped plastic on the front of the deck. Granted, we were snow shoeing in below zero temperatures, but the plastic these snowshoes are maade from became brittle when outside. Not recommended for extreme cold, I would guess. The Red Feather Youth 2 style on the other hand, have held up perfectly. As far as the bindings go on the Youth 1, I find them to be very user-friendly for the students. Even most of my kinders, with some teaching/tips were able to secure their bindings pretty well.
