The item works as expected.Getting in and out of the shoes is fairly easy.I have used them several times and have not found any significant problems in performance. The only complaint is that the backstrap comes loose easily, however,it may be something I am doing wrong. This is a very minor issue. The snowshoes seem to be made well(in the USA)and are solidly built for my needs. This is my first set of snowshoes and am satisfied with their performance and construction.

You want to put on your snowshoes and know you can march off on your snowy way and not worry about your gear. You want solid bindings and lots of floatation, and you don't want to suffer fiscal jeopardy to attain them. Basically, what you want is to tuck these Redfeather Hike snowshoes under your arm, saunter up to the checkout and make them yours. Control bindings feature Z-pattern nylon straps with side buckles for easy adjustments to any size boots. The heel strap is molded from tough, flexible polymer and fitted with a special toggle-activated buckle. A flat, textured foot bed provides a solid foundation for traversing and climbing.
