When we lost our minds and purchased a skateboard for our newly four old son, we regained enough sense to also get him this set of knee and elbow pads. They have been fantastic! They have enough adjustment room to fit him and will absolutely grow with him (please note that he is stocky at 49 pounds ... I don't think they would fit a very small or thin four year old). They certainly have enough padding to keep him from scraping up his knees and elbows and have already prevented what could have been a couple of bad scrape ups. With these and a good helmet, your little one should be good to go on his skateboard!

Designed primarily for skateboarders but also appropriate for bike riders, inline skaters, and scooter enthusiasts, the set comes with two pro-style knee and elbow pads, along with a zippered mesh bag to hold them all together. Each pad is built to soften the blow from pavement and other hard surfaces, with extra-thick foam cushion interiors for comfort, hard plastic slideable caps on the exteriors to help deflect impacts, and full elastic sleeves to align the pads with your joints. The pads' flex Velcro straps, meanwhile, offer full freedom of movement while still fastening the pads securely in place. The pads even absorb sweat thanks to the soft fleece lining. This set of children's pro pads is intended for kids between the ages of 5 and 8 years old.
