Sports reviews of Razor Pro Model Scooter (Clear/Black)Customer Review: Get an A3 if you weigh less than 200 lbs. Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I love this scooter. I own more than one scooter and more than one brand. This scooter is not PRO anything to me, the A3 is equivelent and cheaper. Get with the facts. This is a scooter for the bigger rider in mind. By bigger we are talking grown up man 6 feet tall and weight 250. The handles grips are wider for grown up hands, but the handle height is only 3/4 inches taller than my cheapest fussion scooter (under $25) aka hotwheels scooter. It is almost twice as expensive but it is not twice as good. Still it does have a full base of skateboard tape, a great safety feature so your shoes don't slip. Another benefit of this scooter is that the board height is a about a half inch higher, but because the underside is enclosed you do not have any additional clearance height. The spring back brake mechanism is a little thicker than an industrial paper clip, which IS sturdier than most cheaper brake spring backs. The fender is a little thicker. Remember that your fender IS your brake, so you really do want it to last. All things considered, if you are not a size jumbo lady or gentleman, I would get the A3 and enjoy the heck out of it. I consider the A3 better bang for the buck. But, it is an aweful lot of fun for the money and if you are an ample sized dude, this is the only scooter that you can ride and not break the welds. It is a good idea to get a mirror to see behind you if you go on bike trails. There are adjustable clamp ones that work great. Also a water bottle is a must have! Have fun!
Customer Review: Awsome scooter... Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
You must be thinking " who the heck would know about good scooters" but if thats the case. you're wrong!!! I am 11 years old and whenever I go to my local skatepark, I rock!! I have a old scooter that my friend gave me and although it is 2 years old, Its quite good! And thats not even a Pro Model. If you are new to the concept of scooters i would suggest a Razor model, seeing as they are really light. The friend who gave me the hand-me-down scooter has bought a new scooter from a company called Micro, which he beileves is the creator of scooters which personally to me is rediculous, and his theroy is : If the company invented the stuff, the must make it the best, right? Well duh.no. Anyways, I beileve the pro model is a very good choice. But just because its called "Pro Model" don't order this you're going to 360 degree jump 20 feet in the air first thing you get it. I mean. I can do a 180 jump, go down ramps, do a wheelie,a kneelie, jump, jump off stuff, jump on stuff, and go up and down a half pipe but a 360 jump is still a long way ahead of me. So all in all, I would suggest this scooter for all those ex-skaters and all those guys who love extreme sports. Yep. So see ya later!
Go show those fancy BMX bikers who's boss!, West Side Pheonixes
P.S: Im in a scooter gang!!
Customer Review: Good Quality Scooter Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I own 4 scooters - 1 Razor A1, 1 knock-off brand, 1 Xootr MG, and this one. Now we have one for everyone in my family. For a scooter with 100 mm wheels, this is the best quality. The finish is quite nice, and the sturdy features make this feel quite solid. The taller handlebar height is welcoming for a 5'-10 adult like me.
The negative is that it is still a scooter with small 4" wheels. This means you will fly forward if you hit a crack in the sidewalk. Therefore, I consider Razor's mainly recreational - great fun in a school yard or park, but not as good as transportation, where there are sidewalks.
For transportation, an adult should consider the Xootr, for the 7" wheels. Its big wheels and stability is worth the $200 price.
But for a Razor type scooter, this is really the one to get if you are into decent quality products. The Razor A1 is not bad quality, but its really for pre-teen children. Be careful of the clone brands - the Target store brand is pretty bad quality and rattles a lot. Plus its steel, so it has gotten rusty. The Razors have been rust resistant dispute riding in the rain, etc since it is aluminum.
Customer Review: Amazing Product! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
The Razor Pro Model is a excellent product. The folding mechanism is very easy to operate, unlike my other scooter. The larger handlebar grips helped dampen the vibration when riding on the road/asphalt. The footboard is longer, but I think the width seems to be smaller. I really can't confirm that. I don't use the scooter to do tricks, just as a way of transportation without the emission of harmful greenhouse gasses. The ride is very smooth, except when you are coasting on said road/asphalt. The non-slip decking tape on the whole footboard helped stop my feet from sliding around. The brake was easier to push down, and slowed down faster. (I own a "Rattler" scooter that lived up to its name. The brake was farther form the wheel). Overall, I think this scooter is a fine product, since I don't need to do tricks.
Customer Review: Awesome! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
This is a great scooter for a child or adult. It is SUPER sturdy and when it was delivered we opened the box and pulled it out. With one turn of a lever, it was up and ready to go! No assembly required. Pretty cool and the kids loved that. It folds up small and it light enough for my 6 and 10 yr olds to carry into the car for trip to grandmas. I want to add that this model is $10-$20 more than all the other razor scooters and I paid that for the reassurance of stability. This scooter can hold up to 220 lbs! The others are not guaranteed past 160 lbs. which should be fine if you don't have older kids in your neighborhood or a husband who's really a kid!!! I have both, so I paid the extra and was glad on Christmas day when the 200 lb uncle jumped on w/out a question!
