I purchased this scooter for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves it! I was a little worried when it arrived as the box was pretty beat up. The scooter had a small crack in it, but I managed to glue it together and my daughter never noticed. Also, though I'm generally pretty good at assembling products, I had trouble getting the handle bar on, but eventually figured it out (there is a plastic sleeve you need to remove, which isn't mentioned in the directions).
The scooter drives well and the battery lasts for about half an hour. Another small worry I had was that the front wheel is fairly small and the handle bar turns quite a bit, so I was concerned she might over-steer and crash. We discussed this at length though and she has been fine, even though she has limited experience on a scooter like this. The throttle is simple to use, but the scooter is quite fast, so I strongly recommend your kid wears a helmet.
Overall, I good looking, quality product at a fair price.

Update: 2010: We purchased another battery and that helped immensely with the power of the scooter. In addition, she is obviously able to ride it longer before it quits. I read online that some of the original batteries have this problem... Original review: This scooter is "awesome" and "great fun", according to my 10-1/2 year old daughter. This scooter is great on level surfaces - we live in a somewhat hilly neighborhood and sometimes the scooter needs a little assist to get up the hill, especially when the battery has lost a little oomph. The battery does not have a long life if continually ridden (around 30 minutes), which can be good and bad - bad in that my daughter does not get to ride it for a long time but good in that she will then hop on her bicycle and get some real exercise, ha, ha. Definitely worth the price and really, don't you wish you had one when you were a kid?!Customer Review: Great little scooter

We bought this scooter for our 10yr old granddaughter for
Christmas. It was a great hit! She is riding this thing nonstop until the battery dies (about 1 hr.) The assembly took about 15 minutes and we charged it for 24hrs before hand. We expected to have battery issues since so many of the reviews mentioned this problem. Looks like we got a good one. We also bought the Razor 4-wheeler for our 8 yr old grandson and it is great as well. Would definately recommend these products. In fact, our 6 yr old granddaughter is not happy that we didn't get her one so I guess we'll have to buy a third.

My daughter absolutely loves her scooter. The body is all plastic, and the box arrived damaged. Some of the plastic was cracked. I called the company and they sent some of the replacement parts. I will be calling them again to get the parts they missed. (I was very specific in the parts I needed, yet they sent some of the wrong ones.) Razor was very receptive to fixing the problem, though.
Overall, it was exactly what my daughter wanted for Christmas, and she is thrilled with it.
