it came fully charged, so watch your light on your charger the first time you charge it - it may not take 14 hours for the first charge. do not overcharge

We bought this last year at Christmas, and battery is still great. My 8 year old daughter rides it to and from school and around the block nearly every day. Even in the cold! Worth the price
