Sports reviews of Razor Pocket Mod (Betty)Customer Review: We love it! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I bought this for my daughter's tenth birthday. The shipping was really fast. It took me only about 20 minutes to put it together. It comes almost completely assembled. The box was huge and it had the picture of the scooter on the box, so you don't want it left on your doorstep. We charged the battery overnight and she started riding the very next day. We haven't had any problems with the battery staying charged. She loves to ride it in front of our house, but it definately slows down when pulling a hill. She weighs about 75 lbs. 15 mph is plenty fast for this little thing. I don't think I'd let her on it if it went any faster. You will probably want to adjust the brakes because they are very touchy at first. And it shouldn't be left outside. I only wish it had a horn on it. I am probably going to buy one and put it on. Pads and a helmet are a must. We've had it for almost a month now and even though it is freezing cold here right now, my daughter insists on riding it every day. She agrees it is soooo worth the money.
Customer Review: The best purchase ever!!! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I purchased this scooter for my 6 y/o daughter and she has had the most fun ever on this thing. Safety must be taken into consideration when turning your kid loose on this scooter. The age limit is 12 & up and this scooter is very fast (15 mph) for my 6 y/o but it fits her perfectly. I'm not crazy about spending time in the emergency room so as a responsible parent, I equipped my daughter with the proper safety gear and training and sent her down the trail. This scooter is well made and
functions extremely well. It has a variable speed throttle which allows your child to control the speed of the scooter but this feature tends to drain the battery much quicker also. My daughter typically rides it all day off and on before we charge it in the evening. The charge lasts much longer when it's ridden on a hard surface than in the grass. There is no headlight on it even though it looks like one exists. It's just a lens. I have no complaints at all. As I said before, it was a great buy and the price was cheaper than anywhere else.
Customer Review: Owned for almost 3 years and still love it! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I bought this for my then 8 year old daughter (came from Santa) almost three years ago. Kids, teens & adults love it and quality must be good because I've not done a darn thing to maintain the scooter. Today is the first time I've had to pay attention to it as the inner tube on back tire (I'm guessing) is kaput. I just purchase two inner tubes from Monster Scooter Parts (on sale for 9.99 each) but you can also get parts from [...]. I do recall I had difficulty attaching the front tire piece to the main part of the bike because the screw was recessed so deeply or some such thing that it took me like two hours to get it attached. But other than that, this razor scooter is still a big hit and I look forward to years more with this 'toy'.
Customer Review: So far its an excellent product Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
We got this scooter for our 10-year old and it might be a little small for her. It seems to be just right for our 9-year old. But the scooter is absolutely great. At the time of this writing we've only had it for two weeks. But my daughter rides it almost daily and she loves it. Even I've riden it a couple of times and I weigh 200 lbs. The speed is quite adequate for the age group. Its not too fast but fast enough to keep it exciting. The looks are striking! It looks just like a full sized scooter. The charger works well and it holds a charge long enough to ride it a good long while. We are really happy with the scooter and highly recommend it for any child between the ages of 8 and 10.
Customer Review: So Far So Good Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
This was the one thing my 12 year old daughter wanted for Christmas this year. So I bought it after reading the reviews. So far I have nothing, but good to say about the product. We read the directions closely and made sure to charge the battery fully before using and so far we've had no problems. The weather had been really cold so we have been having her keep it in her room to avoid the low tempertures the manual says can damage the battery. But anyway, so far it's been running fabulously and it's been perfect for my daughter. It doesn't go so fast that I'm concerned about her safety in the neighborhood, but it's not so slow that she feels like it's a baby toy.
