The Razor E100 2006 version is a new and improved electric scooter. Powerful fun at speeds up to 10 mph. Up to 40 minutes of continuous use after one charge. Boasting an adjustable handlebar that adapts to riders of all sizes, an ultra-quiet belt-driven motor, and a handy twist-grip throttle, the E100 is the perfect device for pre-teens and teens wanting to zip over to a friend's house or head to the park. Unlike Razor's E300S and E500S scooters--whose motors start from a standing position--the E100 requires a small manual kickoff to 3 miles per hour before starting (the rider presses a trigger to engage the motor). Once your child is on the move, however, the electric motor ramps up to 10 miles per hour--fast enough to have fun, but not fast enough to be a menace on the street or sidewalk.
Thanks to the long-life rechargeable battery, which takes about eight hours to fully charge, riders can cruise for up to 40 minutes at a stretch. Other details include a folding handlebar mechanism for easy storage and transport, an 8-inch pneumatic front tire and 4.9-inch polyurethane rear wheel, and a hand-operated front brake. The E100 is recommended for ages 8 and older and offers a maximum weight capacity of 120 pounds. It also comes with a pair of 12-volt batteries, a charger, and tools and is backed by a 90-day warranty.

We got this scooter for our almost-6-year-old grandson for Christmas. He loves it. He is small for his age, but he handles it fine. However, he has been riding scooters and skateboards since he was two. It does accelerate quickly, but it didn't take him very long to get used to it. This will probably be a favorite for several years to come.Customer Review: So far so good.

My 6 year old really likes it. He can finally keep up with his 9 year old brother on his Razor 'Vespa' scooter. This was very simple to put together. 10mph is fast enough for my 6 year old. Some of the reviews cautioned about taking turns too sharp, as the scooter would scrape the ground at extreme angles; this has not been a problem at all.Customer Review: Sweet Scooter

Wow so I got this Scooter as a deal off amazon that was going to be used as a present for my nephew (8 years old). But when the package showed up I had to give it a try before I just gave it away. Man this was a really cool gift, not only did I enjoy riding it around but so did my college buddys. He had gotten 2 for Christmas presents to his too oldest boys. I bought one a few weeks later for my daughter's 6th birthday.
When you consider almost no assembly, reasonable cost and something that is very well made by today's standards, you have the makings of a hit.
The kids love this scooter; yours will too!

We got this Razor E100 for our 7 year-old daughter, she had so much fun with it. First,the battery charger didn't work properly (green light kept blinking) so we called the Razor CS and they sent out the new charger right away..very nice !! Highly recommend to anyone..fun stuff for kids and great customer services. :)
