Unlike Razor's E300S and E500S scooters--whose motors start from a standing position--the E100 requires a small manual kickoff to 3 miles per hour before starting (the rider presses a trigger to engage the motor). Once your child is on the move, however, the electric motor ramps up to 10 miles per hour--fast enough to have fun, but not fast enough to be a menace on the street or sidewalk.
Thanks to the long-life rechargeable battery, which takes about eight hours to fully charge, riders can cruise for up to 40 minutes at a stretch. Other details include a folding handlebar mechanism for easy storage and transport, an 8-inch pneumatic front tire and 4.9-inch polyurethane rear wheel, and a hand-operated front brake. The E100 is recommended for ages 8 and older and offers a maximum weight capacity of 120 pounds. It also comes with a pair of 12-volt batteries, a charger, and tools and is backed by a 90-day warranty.

I purchased this for my 8 year old. This has been a joy of his for quite a few months. It runs well, peppy and the battery seems to hold up for a very long riding period. He has had times in excess of 1 hr. riding around the house and driveway.
The only thing which is minor that annoys me is that when you corner very sharply the chain protector drags the pavement. No damage is done but it seems this part of the scooter should be higher off the ground.
Overly recommended for children of appropriate ages. Get your child one, they and you will not regret it.

This one was given to my child by Santa. It has been the most used gift since x-mas. He loves it! The scooter is of high quality and truly runs for about 7 miles on a charge. Charges in between are of 12 hours. The little scooter goes about 10 mph. and when used with a helmet and proper body protection it is quite safe. The acceleration is quick and it brakes well. The only minus is that the motor is kind of noisy. The big plus is the assembly time which is about 2 minutes. All you have to put together is the handlebars. I recommend this scooter. We got this scooter for our 8 yr old son for Christmas this year He loves it, and so far it has proved to be a great buy! It is quiet, goes fast enough for him to have a great time, but not too fast for safety.
My son rides along with my husband on his 3 mile walks, and they have a great time together.
In order for the electric part to kick in you have to push it manually first, and that is great, because my 4 year old can't get on and accidentally start it up. I would definitely recommend this product!!

First I must say I am very impressed with the shipping time on this scooter. I ordered it on Thanksgiving and it was at my door that Saturday. The shipping was free so I thought for sure it was coming by mule and wouldn't see if fir at least 2 weeks. My son loves this scooter. He hasn't really used it that much since we have snow outside, but it seems to working well so far. We charge it everynight for him and it's ready to roll the next day. Putting it together was a snap--hardly no assembly required.Customer Review: Grandson loves it.

I ordered this for my grandsons 11th birthday. When it arrived the box had a big split down the front you could see the scooter and the red paint scraped off of it.I was very upset I did not think I would get another one before his party. I called Amazon they had me another scooter here within 24 hours and the other one picked up. Thank you Amazon for your great customer service. When my grandson saw it on his birthday the look on his face was price less.He loves it it is just the right speed.
