The Razor E100 2006 version is a new and improved electric scooter. Powerful fun at speeds up to 10 mph. Up to 40 minutes of continuous use after one charge. Boasting an adjustable handlebar that adapts to riders of all sizes, an ultra-quiet belt-driven motor, and a handy twist-grip throttle, the E100 is the perfect device for pre-teens and teens wanting to zip over to a friend's house or head to the park. Unlike Razor's E300S and E500S scooters--whose motors start from a standing position--the E100 requires a small manual kickoff to 3 miles per hour before starting (the rider presses a trigger to engage the motor). Once your child is on the move, however, the electric motor ramps up to 10 miles per hour--fast enough to have fun, but not fast enough to be a menace on the street or sidewalk.
Thanks to the long-life rechargeable battery, which takes about eight hours to fully charge, riders can cruise for up to 40 minutes at a stretch. Other details include a folding handlebar mechanism for easy storage and transport, an 8-inch pneumatic front tire and 4.9-inch polyurethane rear wheel, and a hand-operated front brake. The E100 is recommended for ages 8 and older and offers a maximum weight capacity of 120 pounds. It also comes with a pair of 12-volt batteries, a charger, and tools and is backed by a 90-day warranty.

Our son has used his E100 for almost a year now, got it for his 7th birthday. He rides it a while almost every day on the street in front of our home, no long treks. It's been reliable and performs as advertised. I would guess that our son goes about as fast as someone running fast (running, not jogging), sometimes faster going downhill. The brake is a bit weak but not bad. At age 7, our son has behaved safely with it, stops and waits off the road if a car comes and no crazy stunts, so I would say it is suitable for his age, but obviously every kid has different maturity levels so parents have to judge on their own. Lots of fun, impresses his friends, and reliable.Customer Review: The best purchase for my 9 year old son!

My 9 year old son absolutely loves this scooter. It's perfect for him - he says it's the best Christmas gift he's ever received and his favorite! I found the scooter to be reasonably priced and a very good value. It holds a charge for about 45 minutes, which is plenty of time for my son to cruise up and down the sidewalk, and the speed is just right, not too fast. He was comfortable on it right from the start... the scooter is very sturdy and well made, it's well balanced and doesn't feel like it will tip over. My son also loved the red color! This was by far one of the best purchases I've ever made - both my son and I couldn't be happier!Customer Review: Very Pleased!

This is a great product. My [...] received the same Scooter for Christmas. My [...]decided he wanted one as well. We found this Scooter on Amazon as cheap as in the store. We did not have to pay shipping, so it was easier than going to the store. If was very difficult to find these in our area after Christmas, so I was very happy to find it here. It is simple to assemble and is very durable. A great product for anyone with "rough and tough" boys. My nephews received a different brand of Scooter for Christmas, and they are already broken (flat tires,etc) I reccommend this Scooter to anyone with boys who like to ride!Customer Review: Great for a 7 year old!!

My son LOVES his new electric scooter! It is very easy for him to operate and it doesn't go too fast, he uses it every day. At first we thought it was defective because after charging it, it didn't seem like it was working. If you read the directions, you will see that you need to kick off a few times and start it while it is in motion. That turned out to be a nice safety feature because our 3 year old keeps hopping on it and trying to start it.
Another nice surprise was that we got the free shipping so it wasn't supposed to arrive for several days but it arrived in less than a week!

My 6 yr old grandson just loves this. He will be 7 in January. He already knew how to ride it because he had ridden his friend's Razor 250 in the past. It was very easy to put together also. We put Harley Davidson stickers on it to customize it and peeled off the Razor labels. We also added a bell/ringer and a headlight. We charged it on Christmas Eve and he was ready to ride when he arrived on Christmas morning. He rode for about 2 hours and it still wanted to keep running. Yes, I would recommend this electric scooter. I bought it on Amazon about 2 months ago so I only paid about $84.00.
