The Razor E100 electric scooter is extremely powerful and reaches speeds up to 10 mph. This scooter can be used for up to forty minutes of continuous use. There is a new chain driven motor and a new twist-grip throttle to control your acceleration. Features include a hand operated front brake, adjustable handlebar height, handlebar folding mechanism, variable speed chain drive, high torque motor, and rechargebale battery. Unlike Razor's E300S and E500S scooters--whose motors start from a standing position--the E100 requires a small manual kickoff to 3 miles per hour before starting (the rider presses a trigger to engage the motor). Once your child is on the move, however, the electric motor ramps up to 10 miles per hour--fast enough to have fun, but not fast enough to be a menace on the street or sidewalk. And thanks to the long-life rechargeable battery, which takes about eight hours to fully charge, riders can cruise for up to 40 minutes at a stretch. Before this scooter we had a great 5 star scooter that lasted about 15 rides and then it died. The company went out of business, couldn't get the part & had to throw it away. We never thought we would find one that compared in quality (minus the fact that it quit working). This one comes close. It's pretty fast, very sturdy and has kept a good charge. If I had any complaint it's that the bottom underneath of the scooter sits so close to the ground that she has to pick it up to go down any slight drop off or it rubs the underneath. We purchased this scooter for my daughter's 8th birthday and it was by far her favorite gift. The key is to assemble it (takes about 15 minutes) and then charge the battery (takes 12 hours the first time) so that when they get the gift, they can actually use it. The only reason I didn't rate this five stars is because when she's riding it, there's sometimes a strange rattling sound coming from underneath close to the battery compartment (doesn't sound like a normal hum of the scooter) and I'm hoping it has nothing to do with the long-term function of the scooter.Customer Review: Good Product

We haven't had it long enough to fully test the longevity of the battery, but my daughter likes it (65 lbs) and son too (120 lbs). They can ride effortlessly on it especially on flat ground. Our driveway is a slight incline (don't know really how to measure it) and going up the driveway it is noticeable slower but still does the job. I have even ridden on it (190 lbs) up the driveway and it takes me up when the battery is charged good, just a little slower but not aggravating slow. We got this for our 8yr old daughter for Christmas. She loves it, can't get enough of it. The pink color is so girly for her too!. It goes a decent speed that I am comfortable with for safety reasons but fast enought for her to have fun as well. It is a bit noisy and she cannot hear me calling her even if I'm not far behind. That is a concern for me. Other than that, this was one of her favorite gifts and I am glad we decided to get it for her. I recommend it.Customer Review: Scooter fun

The scooter is good for our 6 year old. The bummer is the push start but I am not sure at 6 she could handle anything else. "6" yes young but when you have older siblings and want what they have this is perfect. It has just enough speed for her with room to grow. The deck is great and perfect to balance. It holds a good charge and comes in great colors. The break takes a bit to get used too. I would recommend this for any child. (of the right age)
