Description of Razor E100 Electric Scooter (Pink)The Razor E100 electric scooter is extremely powerful and reaches speeds up to 10 mph. This scooter can be used for up to forty minutes of continuous use. There is a new chain driven motor and a new twist-grip throttle to control your acceleration. Features include a hand operated front brake, adjustable handlebar height, handlebar folding mechanism, variable speed chain drive, high torque motor, and rechargebale battery. For kids ages 8 +. Cruise around the neighborhood in style with the pink Razor E100 electric scooter. Boasting an adjustable handlebar that adapts to riders of all sizes, a chain-driven, high-torque motor, and a handy twist-grip throttle, the E100 is the perfect device for pre-teens and teens wanting to zip over to a friend's house or head to the park. Unlike Razor's E300S and E500S scooters--whose motors start from a standing position--the E100 requires a small manual kickoff to 3 miles per hour before starting (the rider presses a trigger to engage the motor). Once your child is on the move, however, the electric motor ramps up to 10 miles per hour--fast enough to have fun, but not fast enough to be a menace on the street or sidewalk. And thanks to the long-life rechargeable battery, which takes about eight hours to fully charge, riders can cruise for up to 40 minutes at a stretch. Other details include a folding handlebar mechanism for easy storage and transport, an 8-inch pneumatic front tire and 4.9-inch polyurethane rear wheel, and a hand-operated front brake. The E100 is recommended for ages 8 and older and offers a maximum weight capacity of 120 pounds. It also comes with a pair of 12-volt batteries, a charger, and tools and is backed by a 90-day warranty. The buyer and rider of the E100 scooter are responsible for knowing and obeying all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the riding and use of scooters. The Razor is great. My daughter loves it. She is 80 lbs and the motor is plenty strong enough.

Customer Review: Details you NEED to know before buying a razor scooter! Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
I bought this scooter from amazon right after Thanksgiving of 2007. The shipping was super fast! Three days! It was selling in stores for $129 but Amazon was selling for $89 + free shipping! What a deal! The scooter did not come in a concealed box. In other words, when UPS brings it to your door it is in it's original package and it is obvious what the item is. So if it is a surprise or gift make sure your child doesn't go to the door with you to sign for it! Building this thing is a piece of cake! You just screw on the handle bars! One screw on the inside and one on the outside. Very simple. Tools come with it as do the screws! Five minutes to build. Frame is very durable. The chain doesn't drag like some of the reviews that I've read. It must charge for 24 hours before the first ride. And twelve to eight hours after that. Battery last 45 minutes but we found that it lasts a little more than a hour. You can turn motor off and still ride the scooter. I would suggest doing this a few times to allow the child to get used to balancing and steering. You have to kick off for motor to start and it does give a little jolt. The box says it goes up to 10 mph. I don't think ours has gotten that fast. Maybe if you ride on a straight road for several minutes it might reach that speed, but for the most part ours was going a little faster than someone speed walking. Also the lighter you are the faster you went! The brake is located on the handle bars on the left side. Weight limit is 120LBS but we have also found that it does hold up to 220LBS for a quick try, if you can't resist! My daughter is seven and she handles the scooter well after a little bit of practice. I would say it is a good scooter for ages 7-12 years old. Please wear a helmet!!!
Customer Review: Would not order online - buy it at a retail store Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
I purchased this scooter as a gift for my 9 yr old daughter. When the package arrived, the shipping box was completely mangled and destroyed (and not by FedEx - it had been shipped that way by the company!). The box was held together by several overlapping layers of packing tape. There were giant chunks of cardboard missing out of the box, and one whole end of the box was completely missing. Had it not been for my own child, there is no way I would have given this item in this condition as a gift to anyone else. There was also a scratch along the side of the scooter, congruent with some of the damage to the box. All of the parts appeared to be in the box however, and there was not enough time for me to send the scooter back and get another one before her birthday, so we did keep it.
I am giving this item 4 stars because my daughter absolutely LOVES the scooter, and the scratch did not affect its performance. However, I would strongly recommend actually going to a store and purchasing this item, instead of ordering it online. The box is big and heavy, and it would be very inconvenient to package it up and ship it all back if yours arrives the way mine did!
Customer Review: Fun and sturdy Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
This was my daughters b-day gift for her 10th. We had it delivered to Florida to my in-laws so it would be there for our winter vacation. It was perfect. Here eyes lit up at the unexpected surprise. She donned the pink safety helmet we bought to go with it then took off like a shot!
The product is very sturdy and keeps a good charge. As a mother, I like that it doesn't go "too fast". I do wish the handle bars were adjustable enough to be pulled up a bit as she is tall for her age. However, my daughter doesn't seem to complain about it.
I think Razor has good product and I would recommend it! PS. Get the helmet too... it makes a parent feel better!!
