Have had this for over a couple years and it is still going strong.
The frame is plenty strong to hold nearly anyone, the motor is a bit weak for anyone over 100lbs or so but works great for kids.
Although listed as "Reaches speeds up to 10 miles per hour" you would be hard pressed to get it over 8. That speed has been enough to keep my kids happy, faster then they can run long distances to visit the neighbors via the "off road" path, but slow enough to limit any injury due to an accident.
As they grow older I would like to see an upgraded version with a 650Watt motor instead of the 350Watt that would go about 15mph. After all, Razor has a line of dirt bikes with 350, 500, and 650W motors.
Perhaps a DIY project is necessary here.

We purchased this product for our 6 year old at Christmas, being a little concerned that it would be a flash in the pan and two weeks later it would just be setting there. I read the reviews and was concerned about the charging capability, but when we got it, it charged up and has held the charge just fine, on the initial charge he can ride the unit for well over an hour before it needs charging then he can usually ride it for another half hour increments through out the day on an hour charge. I have built a track for him with jumps and obstacles and he has beat the living *%#@ out of it as well as ride it in the rain and it just keeps going, the down side to it that he is already wanting an upgrade to a stronger and faster one to do more tricks and stunts.

I bought this four wheeler for my 6 year old son. He loves it! It is very well manufactured. It has all steel parts and basically looks just like a gas powered 4 wheeler. The body is plastic but not a cheap plastic. It came fully assembled except for putting on the handle bars and attaching the throttle and brake. It has no trouble moving on grass or going up hills. My son wanted a gas powered 4 wheeler but I thought he was too young for one so he saw this in a toy catalog and HAD to have it. It goes about 8 miles an hour which is fast enough for a 6 year old. I figured having this one would teach him the basics of riding a 4 wheeler and be much safer until he's older and more responsible. Also it costs about a third of what a gas powered 4 wheeler costs.
Customer Review: O.K. for a beginner Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
my brother got this quad for christmas and he loves it. as soon as he got it he put it to charge. we had people over and my uncle who loves cars said it was good for a 8 year old. 18 hr later the next day he was riding it and he thounght it was great. ours went 15mph. i thing it was because we got custome batteries that allowed him an hour of riding.
when we bring it to our summer house in west hampton beach he plans on riding it every were because he attached our 8 wheeled wagon and an our later well IT IS NOT STREET LEGAL!!!
well to rap it up it has a huge torque motor we tryed to have a tug of war with a 50cc quad and the electric one was dragging it
it goes pretty fast
very durable
but NOT STREET LEGAL!!!

We ordered our Razor on Thursday and received it on Friday...super fast shipping. My 6 year old son couldn't be happier. With the bans on gas powered 4-wheelers in his age range, this seemed like a good option. It took about 10 minutes to set it up. Battery had full charge out of the box. First thing he asked the next morning "Can I ride my Razor?" He is having a blast on it. We did not experience the battery issues some have. Charged overnight and he's ridden for 45 minutes so far and still showing full charge. One word of caution...tight turns & full throttle will lift 2 wheels off the ground. Be sure to teach your children how to turn properly! Overall, very pleased and highly recommend.
