We have several 4-wheelers and I tell you this Razor is the absolute best. My son loves it. We purchased the perago battery operated 4-wheeler for him when he was 2. Although he could barely reach the accelerater with his foot to make it go 5mph he grew out of it within the first 6months because it didnt go fast enough. Then at the age of three we bought real mini 4-wheelers which can go up to 45mph but my son is to small. Now at the age of 4 he has this razor dirt quad and he absolutely loves it. I didnt want him on the real one it went way to fast and to make it had a thumb throttle and it was confusing for him. The razor quad has the hand throttle its the best and it goes up to 12mph but honestly he doesnt take it to that speed. so I know this will last a while. I purchased this dirt quad from Amazon at christmas for my 6 yr old daughter and didn't know what to expect because I hadn't seen this type of "Razor" before. It arrived on the day promised and upon receiving it, to my surprise, I was impressed. It is very sturdy, just her size and looks like the real thing. It came assembled (with the exception of the handle bar which took only about 10 min., I charged it for 24hrs as instructed, and it was ready to go. I had read previous reviews about the battery charge being 'short' but we haven't had any problems with that. It has a battery strength indicator letting us know how much "juice" we have left (love that) and also is a smooth quiet ride. Although it is just right for my 6yr old it also has enough torque for my 15yr. old who is always jumping on for a quick spin. Bought this a an Xmas gift for our 6 yr old son who is pretty tall and it has been perfect from day one! No battery life problems, no tire problems, nothing! After riding non stop for about 2 hrs (literally) with some of his friends the battery finally started to slow down but he was still able to ride! Its even powerful enough to lug my hubbie around @245lbs! However, some of the other reviews are correct in making sure that you teach your child how to properly turn. If they are going too fast it will flip them over. My son had a couple friends to experience this! And at initial take off it does have some kick! Also there is no reverse, but not a problem for us b/c where we ride there is more than enough room to turn around instead of reverse. But overall the best electric 4 wheeler for the money and for the 6-10 age range!!!Customer Review: Best ride on Electric

We bought 2 for our 5 & 7 yr old GIRLS! They absolutely love them; it snowed every week all winter so they learned to ride in the slick snow.....which was a lot more fun then the gravel that made them tipsy. The 7 yr old rides it up on 2 wheels all the time and jumps with it. We always keep them in during the cold to protect the batteries. They actually go alot faster and last 2-3 hours just fine. Now the one is broke down because they washed it and got something wet....Santa will be fixing it for under the tree! We are looking at the Razor dirt bike maybe for the older girl. I think they have learned alot about handling, & driving by playing with them. I can also ride it around the house and to the barn. I read many reviews on this product and almost did not buy it for my 4 year old son. I was glad that I went with my instincts and not most of the reviews. He got this on Christmas day and immediately wanted to ride it outside. We had some snow on the ground that I was worried he would he stuck in. He did not !!! He rode the quad for over an hour and we then put on the charger. He had a different quad earlier that almost always got stuck on certain parts of our property and had a slight incline. This one goes right up. without hesitation. My husband even rode it around the driveway. My son is thrilled with this quad as it has more power that the other ones that are the 12v batteries. He has had it out several times since and zooms around the property with the biggest smile yet.
