Description of Razor A Kick Scooter

The original kick scooter, the Razor A is a handy little ride for kids and teens alike. Though it'll never replace the internal combustion engine, the scooter will get your child from point A to point B much quicker than on foot alone, and requires just a few scoots of one's shoes in the process. Plus, it's a blast to use, as your progeny will likely attest.

The Razor A is built of aircraft-grade aluminum, a sturdy material that holds up to use and abuse through the years. Its T-tube and deck, meanwhile, fold up into a compact footprint, so riders can fit the scooter inside a bag or carry it at their side when riding isn't appropriate (it weighs around 6 pounds). And thanks to the 98mm inline-style urethane wheels, ABEC 5 bearings, and patented rear fender brake, riders will always feel smooth and in control when kicking along the sidewalk.

Recommended for ages 5 and older, the Razor A will support a rider up to 143 pounds. It's also backed by a six-month warranty. For the next step up, try the Razor A2 Scooter.

When you're done riding, the Razor A folds down to a nicely compact size.

Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

For kids who aren't old enough to handle a skateboard, but still want to be out rolling along with the neighborhood kids, this is your answer. The `Razor A Kick Scooter' is perfect for those 5 and older. Made of aircraft-grade aluminum, with 4" heavy-duty urethane wheels, adjustable comfortable handlebars, and a patented rear fender brake, this little scooter will make any youngster mobile and happy. It comes in several colors and folds up into a six-pound storable package. Scooters are almost an American tradition and kids love the feel of freedom when playing around the neighborhood or playground.

Customer Review: Kids love it!
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

After my neighbor went and got one, my 4 yo begged for one. I figured it would be good exercise, so I got her one. It didn't take her long to figure it out. My son, who is nervous about balancing on two wheels, saw my daughter having so much fun, he tried it out and they both fought over it. So, I had to go out and buy one the same day. Okay, I didn't have to, but it's worth it to see my kids want to go out and get some physical activity.

The construction is solid. I had it unfolded and ready to ride in seconds. The wheels glide smoothly. I am impressed with the quality.

Customer Review: great for kids
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

I was looking for a scooter that is cute and safe for my daughter to her to cruise around the park with for fun and I figured this scooter would be perfect. I've read some customer reviews and I can't agree more with them, this is smooth and great for storage. The set up was simple enough for me to finish in seconds. My daughter certainly enjoys it! I have to admit that I am a little worried about the durability of this thing because of the other reviews. i would recommend avoiding bumpy roads for grassy areas, and wear helmets!

Customer Review: Not what I remembered.
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

I remember getting a Razor scooter 8 years ago for my birthday and loving it. When I ordered this one I saw that it came with black plastic around the joints and the back wheel. The old ones were all aluminum and felt much more sturdy. I'm sure this would be great for a younger kid, say 5-13, but this just doesn't cut it for a 6' 1'' guy, even though I am a beanpole. This is more of a toy than a transportation device. I'll be ordering the Pro edition and giving this to someone that can use it.

Customer Review: Great Scooter
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

This is a really good scooter. I bought two, one for my brother. My folding mechanism does not work very well, but besides that, the scooter is perfectly fine. I think it's that I took a lot of hard landings on it. It's AWESOME for the price. Nice and cheap for something well made. I don't like the folding mechanism. If you have a lot of space to put the scooter in, don't worry about taking falls. It still folds, but not easily. Anyway, overall four stars. Great price! BUY IT! Totally worth it.
