Customer Review: Great product/efficient/durable and inexpensive solution
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I bought the Bungie Cargo net to supplement the hold down spring arm that comes on my rear rack. I found the spring arm to be a little weak, and sometimes the angle of the spring arm doesn't properly secure the package and I'd find it falling to one side or the other, or things rattling and eventually tearing thru the paper bag.... so the purchase of this bungie net was a perfect solution. You might have to double sack your groceries if you have a way to go or if the roadway is a bit rough, but it allows you to balance your load in the middle of the rear rack, and holds the groceries or whatever package you might have....very snugly and securely. They don't rattle or break thru a bag because of the shifting or vibration of canned goods or other hard objects. It can be stuffed into a very small space, thus making it easy to take along. One fellow who rated it suggested putting it into a small plastic bottle...great idea that I'll be following. Truly a must-have for those of you who find the need to carry items or bundles on your bike rack and are tired of hanging the plastic grocery bags over the handle bars or wearing a backpack, but you will need a rear rack.

Customer Review: BEST item ever - saved our bike trip
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

A new beach bike and basket would have been unusable without this cargo net. The net was an impulse buy as the new bike had a back rack and I thought it would allow me to strap on what might not go into the new front wicker basket. The first grocery store trip revealed the flaw in the cute wicker bike basket. Once the basket was loaded it dropped onto the front fender making the tire rub. Luckily this net allowed me to move the basket to the back rack and easily attach it by going over the top of the basket and clipping the hooks to the flat rack. It has the extra bonus of keeping goods from blowing out! The basket is about 15" tall and there was no problem using the bungee net. It will stretch to accomodate a pretty big load. My family all agreed it was the best find of the trip. If you use a bike to haul anyting get one of these!!!!

Customer Review: bungee straps no more
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I live in HI, and had to use some cheap bungees before I ordered one of these. Now don't get me wrong, I was grateful to have the bungees, but when you use them really frequently there are always some near misses with the old eyeballs. This cargo net eliminates all that.

With bungees, you have to make them really tight so things don't fall through, and you have to strategically place everything on the rack, then strategically place the bungees, and by then you're cussing because you're not sure if everything's stable enough and your milk is sweating and your ice cream is melting and people in cars are pointing at you saying "THAT is why I don't ride a bike."

Point being: I'm really glad I bought this. It's sturdy, it's strong, and it's worth every penny.

Customer Review: Cargo net does the job!
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

Initially I was going to install a large twin rear carrier Wald 535 Rear Twin Bicycle Carrier Basket (18 x 7.5 x 12) to accommodate my large briefcase and lunch bag during my commute. But that would have meant a permanent heavy fixture attached to the bike that would make simple pleasure rides less pleasurable. So instead I simply mounted a rear rack and got this cargo net to use when I commute. The net stretches to fit my needs, keeps my stuff secure and immobile, and I like the coated metal hooks better than the idea of nylon hooks found on other cargo nets.

The rack and cargo net combination has proved to be the better option for maximum versatility.

Customer Review: Creme de la creme
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I have baskets on both my commuter bikes. The idea behind the baskets is to be able to drop things in there without a lot of hassle in bungie cording things down.

That WAS the theory... but when I went whipping down a steep hill and things begin flying out of the basket... well, the best laid plans. So I use one of these cargo nets to secure the top of the basket, forming a sort of a "lid." Now I can go flying down hills and nothing can fly out.

As to inconvenience, no I don't find it inconvenient. Leave the net attached at 3 points and unattach one hook for slipping things in and out of the basket. That seems to work out well, and I'm an impatient person so considering I find it convenient... you'll find it convenient.
